Nathan Clarke: A doubt for Orient

Nathan Clarke: A doubt for Orient

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Leyton Orient and Carlisle United at the Matchroom Stadium.

Leyton Orient have problems in defence with Nathan Clarke and Mathieu Baudry doubts.

Skipper Clarke missed Tuesday night's 1-0 win over Portsmouth with a rib injury and fellow centre-half Baudry had to go off after taking a knock to his hip.

Scott Cuthbert moved from right-back into the centre, and took the armband, in Clarke's absence while Elliot Omozusi joined him in the second half after coming on for Baudry.

Full-back Gary Sawyer is fit after a knee problem but striker David Mooney is struggling with a thigh injury.

Experienced duo Martin Rowlands and Kevin Lisbie could return to the starting line-up after they dropped to the bench against Pompey, with both coming on during the second half.

Carlisle manager Greg Abbott hopes to include latest signing Mathieu Manset on the substitutes' bench.

Former Reading striker Manset joined the Cumbrians until the end of the season earlier in the week following his release from Swiss side Sion and although not 100% fit; the Frenchman could be involved, subject to international clearance.

The Cumbrians will be without forward Lee Miller, who sits out the final game of his three-match ban following his recent dismissal at Notts County, so teenager Mark Beck looks set to retain his place in the starting line-up, with Rory Loy and Danny Cadamarteri also hoping to feature.

Matty Robson (groin) returned from a four-match injury lay-off against Brentford and is likely to continue at left-back, while midfielder Liam Noble is expected to return to contention following illness.

Abbott has no other new injury or suspension problems as his side look to ease their relegation fears with back-to-back victories.
