Jon Taylor: Should be fit to play

Jon Taylor: Should be fit to play

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Shrewsbury and Sheffield United at Greenhous Meadow.

Graham Turner must decide whether to name an unchanged side as Shrewsbury chase back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

Shrews disposed of Preston 2-1 at Deepdale last weekend to ease their relegation fears and Turner will certainly be tempted to go again with the same XI.

Winger Jon Taylor was forced off towards the end of the clash nursing a knock but he should be okay to face the Blades.

Defender Jermaine Grandison faces at least a further couple of weeks on the sidelines with his hip injury, while long-term absentee Mark Wright continues to struggle with his ongoing knee problem and will also be assessed towards the end of this month.

Town are expecting a bumper crowd close to 7,000 for the fixture.

Sheffield United defender Matt Hill could return to the squad for the trip to the Shrews.

Hill has been sidelined since breaking his jaw five weeks ago but returned to full training this week and is expected to be included.

New signings Jonathan Forte and Barry Robson could make their first starts for the club.

Striker Forte returned to Bramall Lane on loan on transfer deadline day from Southampton and former Scotland international Robson has signed until the end of the season following his release from Major League Soccer side Vancouver Whitecaps.

Central defender Neill Collins will continue at the heart of defence after recently returning with the aid of a protective mask. He suffered a triple fracture of his cheekbone on Boxing Day.

The Blades, whose midweek home game with Crawley was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, are chasing their first league win in six matches.
