Tom Bradshaw: In contention for Shrews

Team news ahead of Saturday's League One clash between Shrewsbury and Crewe at Greenhous Meadow.

Shrewsbury are likely to have a full-strength squad.

Midfielder Luke Summerfield returned from illness to start last weekend's 2-1 defeat at Leyton Orient while new loan signing Luke Rodgers went straight into attack.

Rodgers is again expected to start from the off at the Greenhous Meadow as he makes his first home appearance for Shrews since parting ways with the Shropshire club in 2005.

Striker Tom Bradshaw and left-back Joe Jacobson both scored for Shrewsbury's reserves in midweek in a 2-0 win at Oldham and may have played their way into manager Graham Turner's plans.

Town have fallen to second-bottom in League One on the back of four defeats and a draw from their last five matches, with only one win coming in the club's previous 10 league games.

Max Clayton and Ryan Colclough are pushing to be involved when Crewe make the short trip to Shrewsbury.

England Under-19 striker Clayton is still nursing a calf problem and teenage winger Colclough is back in training after sustaining a broken jaw on his second professional appearance, but the game may come too soon for both of them.

Kelvin Mellor and Michael West remain doubts having missed last weekend's dramatic 3-2 comeback win over Colchester with respective calf and knee problems, while forward Ajax Leitch-Smith (ankle) remains on the sidelines.

"I'm expecting a tough challenge because they're scrapping for points, they're battling away," said Alex boss Steve Davis.

"The manager (Graham Turner) is under a little bit of pressure, so that's always dangerous when you go to those places where they're looking to win games and get themselves going again."
