    Image: Grant: Doubtful for Boro

Team news ahead of Saturday's League One clash between Stevenage and Scunthorpe at Broadhall Way.

Stevenage will be without David Gray and have a major doubt over Anthony Grant. Right-back Gray serves a one-match suspension after racing to five yellow cards this season while midfielder Grant suffered a nasty head injury at Notts County on Tuesday. Centre-half Jon Ashton's fitness will be assessed after he was ruled out in midweek and striker Patrick Agyemang is still sidelined with a thigh tear, but winger Robbie Rogers is back in training after hamstring trouble. Boss Gary Smith sprung a surprise at Meadow Lane by dropping first-choice goalkeeper Chris Day and giving Steve Arnold his league debut, and the latter should keep his place after the 2-1 win lifted Boro up to second. Scunthorpe skipper Paul Reid has told manager Alan Knill he is ready to make his first appearance of the season if needed. Reid has been sidelined since breaking a bone in his hand during the pre-season tour of Ireland, but has been back in full training for a fortnight and Knill hinted he could recall his captain to the heart of defence following his side's lapses in the midweek home defeat to Tranmere. Knill could be without winger Mark Duffy, who was forced out of the action after taking a knock against Tranmere, so his replacement on the night, Andy Barcham, could return to the starting line-up. The Iron will also be without midfielder David Prutton, who received his fifth booking of the season in midweek and sits out an automatic one-game ban. Chris Sedgwick could be handed his first start. Midfield pair Damien Mozika (ankle) and Michael Collins (Achilles) are both making steady progress after returning to light training, but remain several weeks away from a return to contention.
