Stock: Could make his first league start for Burnley

Team news ahead of Saturday's Championship clash between Burnley and Brighton at Turf Moor.

Burnley midfielder Brian Stock could be in line to make his first league start of the season.

Stock, who joined the Clarets in the summer, scored the winning penalty against Plymouth in the League Cup on Tuesday in his first appearance for the club.

Manager Eddie Howe was encouraged to see the former Doncaster man come through the full 120 minutes unscathed and may hand him his league bow against the Seagulls.

Striker Martin Paterson has missed the last three games with a slight hamstring tear and remains doubtful.

Although the injury is not thought to be long-term, he will be assessed ahead of kick-off on Saturday with an outside chance of being named on the bench.

Andrea Orlandi goes straight into the Brighton squad.

The Spanish midfielder has joined the Seagulls from Swansea for an undisclosed fee on a two-year contract.

Orlandi will replace Craig Noone in Gus Poyet's squad after the winger completed his move to Cardiff on Thursday.

Orlandi's countryman and fellow midfielder Vicente could return after a groin injury while winger Will Buckley hopes to be involved for the first time this season following a hamstring problem. Both will be assessed ahead of kick-off.

Forward Will Hoskins remains in the treatment room with the broken foot he suffered during pre-season.

The Seagulls picked up their first win of the season when they thumped Barnsley 5-1 last weekend.
