Vicente: Injury doubt for Seagulls

Team news ahead of Tuesday night's Championship clash between Brighton and Cardiff at the Amex Stadium.

Brighton will check on Vicente and Will Buckley ahead of the game.

Vicente missed Saturday's Championship opener at Hull after suffering a minor groin injury against Swindon in the Capital One Cup the previous week.

Buckley has yet to figure this season due to a hip problem, but he is close to making a return and both players will be handed late fitness tests.

Forward Will Hoskins remains in the treatment room with the broken foot he suffered during pre-season.

Goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak and full-backs Bruno and Wayne Bridge will make their home debuts in front of what is expected be a record attendance after the Amex Stadium was expanded over the summer.

Cardiff boss Malky Mackay could welcome midfielder Stephen McPhail back into his squad.

The midfielder was substituted in last week's League Cup tie with a tight hamstring but had expected to return last weekend.

But the Irishman failed a fitness test ahead of kick-off and may be fit for a place on the bench.

Kevin McNaughton, Mark Hudson, Ben Turner and Andrew Taylor all returned against Huddersfield following injuries and are expected to retain their places having come through the match unscathed.

Summer signing Kim Bo-Kyung is still unavailable as he sorts a work permit. Mackay hopes to have the South Korean midfielder available next weekend.

"It's purely administration work - we are not having to clarify status. That will take time for him to come back in the country," Mackay told BBC Sport.
