Yaya Toure takes over as skipper, playing alongside Gareth Barry in midfield, while Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli start up front. Sunderland, with former City winger Adam Johnson in their side, make one change as Carlos Cuellar replaces Titus Bramble.
