  1. Thanks for joining me for what was a thoroughly enjoyable game at Upton Park. Sunderland will be desperately disappointed not to hold on for their first win but, in truth, West Ham's pressure deserved the point they left it so late to claim.

  2. 90+5

West Ham's relentless pressures eventually pays off with an added-time leveller to deny Sunderland their first win of the season.

  3. 90+3

Jarvis does brilliantly to keep the ball in play on the goal-line before Maiga heads the loose ball into the path of Nolan, who swivels and shoots low past Mignolet.

  4. 90+2

  5. 90+1

Campbell limps off to be replaced by Vaughan. There were four minutes of added time to be played, but the ref is sure to add at least another 90 seconds to that.

  6. 90

Vaughan heads for the corner, but Campbell is injured on the floor. The Sunderland substitute appears to be in a lot of pain. At least four added minutes to play...

  7. 88

Bramble heads another long ball behind for a 10th West Ham corner. Sunderland clear initially, before Collins goes close to making contact with the second delivery. The Black Cats win a free-kick to relieve the pressure. Great defending again.

  8. 85

Another free-kick delivery from Noble is headed harmlessly wide by Maiga. Time running out for the Hammers...

  9. 82

West Ham defender Reid goes in the book after giving the ball to Vaughan and pulling back the Sunderland midfielder.

  10. 78

Vaughan almost heads a second for Sunderland on a rare break for the visitors but the substitute can't quite reach a cross from the left. West Ham respond, and Jarvis's dangerous delivery is missed by everyone.

  11. 77

Cole's day is done, with Maiga thrown on in the West Ham striker's place.

  12. 74

Collins heads against the crossbar! The West Ham defender comes desperately close to making up for his error which led to the Sunderland goal, but his header from Noble's corner hits the top of the bar.

  13. 73

West Ham have out-shot Sunderland 17-3, but still trail 1-0. Demel and Diame combine well on the right to force another corner...

  14. 71

Much to Sessegnon's surprise, he is replaced by Campbell as Sunderland successfully defend another corner.

  15. 69

Mignolet shows another safe pair of hands to field O'Brien's 25-yard drive. Sunderland are struggling to get out of their own half.

  16. 66

Rose does brilliantly to head away at the far post, with Benayoun poised to nod in an equaliser. A spell of pressure follows the corner, but Noble eventually chips the ball into the grateful hands of Mignolet. Hammers well on top.

  17. 62

After Cole heads another chance over, Sunderland send on Vaughan for Larsson in an attempt to solidify the midfield.

  18. 61

Jarvis draws a foul from Gardner, who is booked.

  19. 59

Sunderland go close after Gardner slides in a low cross, but McClean mis-times his slide and fails to make a proper contact with the ball. Should have done better.

  20. 58

Allardyce has seen enough and sends on both Jarvis and Benayoun, with Vaz Te and Taylor making way.

  21. 57

West Ham go route one again and it almosts pays off. Cole flicked on a long ball but Vaz Te fails to turn the ball home from close range.

  22. 55

West Ham look a little short of ideas already, with Sunderland happy to allow their hosts possesion, but a crunching challenge from Bramble on Taylor indicates their intent around their own box. Time for Jarvis or Benayoun?

  23. 53

Sunderland are down to 10 men temporarily as Rose receives treatment for a facial injury. The left-back looks likely to be back with us imminently.

  24. 50

Gardner and Larsson are forced into two blocks in quick succession, the first from Nolan's spin and shot before Taylor smashes the rebound towards goal. Brave defending from the Sunderland duo

  25. 46

West Ham get the second half underway, with neither manager making any changes at the break.

  26. An exciting first-half comes to a close, with two moments of quality standing out: Fletcher's goal being one; Mignolet's save from Nolan just before the break the other.

  27. 45

Mignolet gets his gloves on the ball again, this time cathing a flicked header from Cole. A much easier save, after a world-class stop moments before. Two added minutes being played...

  28. 43

Mignolet is finally tested, and he passes with flying colours! Vaz Te floats in a cross from the left which is met by Nolan's flying volley, but the Sunderland keeper dives back to his left to brilliantly parry away to safety. Great save!

  29. 40

The Hammers are giving Sunderland some uncomfortable moments in and around the box but Mignolet has yet to be properly tested. Martin O'Neill will be very content with how his game plan is playing out.

  30. 36

West Ham go close again! Another free-kick is flicked on by Cole towards the edge of the six-yard box, from where Nolan scissor-kicks narrowly wide of the post.

  31. 34

Diame is having a big say on the game so far, and his cross from the left is headed over by Cole, who was stretching to reach the ball.

  32. 32

West Ham go close on two occasions. Firstly, Rose superbly blocks a drive from Demel, before Reid heads the resulting corner into the path of Nolan, but the midfielder cannot divert the ball on target from an acute angle.

  33. 29

Sunderland counter after defending the free-kick, with Fletcher spraying a beautiful pass into the path of McClean. With the Hammers committed upfield, McClean could drive at what's left of the defence, but instead opts to shoot from 30 yards and drags a poor effort well wide.

  34. 28

Nolan smashes the free-kick low but into base of the wall. Poor attempt from the Hammers captain.

  35. 27

West Ham win a free-kick just outside the box after Colback fouls Diame slightly to the left of the D...

  36. 23

Chance for a West Ham equaliser goes begging, as Taylor's cross from the left is headed down and wide by Vaz Te from a dangerous position at the far post.

  37. 22

Collins takes up a good position in the centre of the West Ham six-yard box to head away another dangerous delivery from Larsson, who then sees his corner cleared.

  38. 21

Cattermole crunches into a challenge with Diame and wins the ball, which pings around the midfield before Cattermole eventually concedes a foul for a tug on Diame. West Ham fill the box, but the inswinging delivery into the box is cleared by Sunderland.

  39. 17

Nolan sends Bramble flying after chasing down a short pass into the Sunderland centre-back, but the West Ham skipper escapes a booking, which is the correct call. No contact was made, despite Bramble taking flight.

  40. 14

Another long ball is launched towards the Sunderland six-yard box, but Migolet is decisive in punching two-handed away from Cole, who got a blow to the head in the process. The West Ham striker looks groggy but continues.

  41. 12

West Ham have forced a couple of corners in immediate response to going behind, but Sunderland clear their lines on both occasions.

  42. 9

It's a nightmare for Collins, who needlessly gives the ball to Larsson on the Sunderland right. Larsson floats a pass on to the left foot of Fletcher before the striker smashes a low shot into the far corner past Jaaskelainen.

  43. 10

  44. 7

Collins pumps a free-kick from the halfway line on to the corner of Sunderland's six-yard box, but Cole is penalised for either a push or a handball. Possibly both.

  45. 4

Some tough tackling in the Sunderland half results in a West Ham counter attack. Diame strides forward, but his pass intended for Cole is cut out by Bramble. Frenetic start at Upton Park.

  46. 1

Sunderland keeper Mignolet has to be awake early on to dash out of his area to volley away a through-ball which Cole was chasing. Good goalkeeping.

  47. 15:00

Sunderland's Fletcher and Sessegnon get us underway...

  48. 14:56

The teams are emerging from the tunnel into glorious sunshine at Upton Park. Bubbles greet the players, with West Ham in traditional claret and blue; Sunderland are wearing their navy away strip.

  49. 14:42

You can bet in-play with our friends at Sky Bet, who are offering 13/2 on Sunderland's Steven Fletcher opening the scoring. Fletcher is the Black Cats' only scorer in the Premier League so far this season, with three goals in two games for his new club. West Ham's top scorer, Kevin Nolan, is 7/1 to score first.

  50. 14:33

West Ham are unchanged from last week's draw at Norwich, while Titus Bramble replaces Carlos Cuellar at the heart of the Sunderland defence. Cuellar was substituted with a hamstring problem during last Saturday's 1-1 draw with Liverpool.

  51. 14:29

  55. 14:20

Good afternoon and welcome to live coverage of West Ham's clash with Sunderland at Upton Park. The two sides have started the Premier League season very differently, with the erratic Hammers having had two wins, a heavy defeat and a goalless draw. The visitors, though, have been nothing if not consistent, with three draws from their opening trio of games. What will we get this afternoon?
