Lampard and John Terry, however, start on the bench. Petr Cech captains the side, with David Luiz and Gary Cahill in central defence. Di Matteo otherwise has no new suspension or injury concerns to deal with, and has stuck with Fernando Torres up front, who has been unable to carry his impressive late form last season over into this.
