Araujo Ilan: Scored the winner

Bastia came from behind with a last-gasp winner to claim a 2-1 victory over fellow Ligue 1 new boys Reims, who finished with nine men as they fell apart in the second half.

Nicolas Fauvergue gave Reims an early lead and they survived a Bastia onslaught until the hour mark, when Anthony Weber fouled Florian Thouvin, earning a red card and allowing Anthony Modeste to lash in the equaliser from the penalty spot.

Mickael Tacalfred then earned an 82nd-minute red for a rash tackle on Modeste and Araujo Ilan made him pay in injury time with the winner.

It took just five minutes for Reims to take the lead, with Fauvergue beating Sylvain Marchal to Khalid Sekkat's free-kick to finish from close range.

Bastia immediately tried to hit back, but Agassa Kossi saved well from Toifilou Maoulida before Maoulida's looping header beat the goalkeeper only to land on the crossbar and bounce to safety.

Modeste then tested Agassa just before half-time and the goalkeeper gathered at the second attempt.

Thauvin fired narrowly wide for Bastia early in the second half, but they were level after the hour mark thanks to Weber's indiscretion.

They made the extra man pay as they kept up the pressure, with Agassa again denying Modeste soon after.

But they could not survive the second red and it was deep into injury time when Ilan delighted the home crowd by firing in from close range.

The win makes it six points from two games for Bastia, but Reims are still searching for their first points.
