Christian Gentner: Sealed a point for Stuttgart in a 4-4 draw with Borussia Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund and Stuttgart shared eight goals at the Westfalenstadion as the champions let slip two valuable points in their quest to defend their league title.
Shinji Kagawa put the home side in front in the 33rd minute with Jakub Blaszczykowski adding the second early in the second half.
However, Stuttgart did not accept defeat without a fight and Vedad Ibisevic brought them back into the game in the 72nd minute.
Julain Schieber then struck twice in as many minutes to put Stuttgart ahead before Mats Hummels equalised for Dortmund.
Ivan Perisic then gave the Westphalians a 4-3 lead, but Christian Gentner levelled in stoppage time.
The result is a big boost for Bayern Munich, with Dortmund moving to just six points ahead of them at the top, with Bayern having a chance to reduce the deficit against Nurnberg on Saturday.
