1. The game has been abandoned. No other choice. Thoughts with Fabrice Muamba and his family.

2. The game has been suspended. No decision as yet as to whether it will be resumed. Updates as we get them on Muamba and the game.

3. Coyle and Redknapp speaking with Webb and he calls the players off.

4. Muamba is now on a stretcher and being carried from the field. He collapsed in the middle of the field. He is being rushed straight down the tunnel and away to hospital.

5. Talks on the field between players and officials. That might be the end of proceedings. Would be no complaints if that is the case.

   Chants of Fabrice Muamba ring out around White Hart Lane. We understand medical staff have been attempting to resuscitate Muamba.

   Fans being urged by other fans to remain quiet and be respectful. Nice to see. Everyone in the ground concerned about what is going on. Howard Webb also looking very serious. He might have a big decision to make very soon.

   Lots of hands on faces at the moment. Players on both sides look very concerned. Not entirely sure what has happened but safe to say that this is not good.

   A couple of the Bolton players look distressed. Coyle is on the pitch and is given permission to go to the aid of his stricken star. Silence around White Hart Lane.

    Muamba is down and doesn't look to be in a good way. Medical staff from both sides on the field. Stretcher straight out as well. This looks bad.

    Bolton allowing Spurs to have the ball inside their own half. They can do nothing as Bale is then sprung into space down the left. He is quick, but even he can't keep a well-struck pass in play.

    Klasnic picks Walker's pocket, but then gives the ball to Van der Vaart. A bit scrappy at the moment, with stray passes doing neither side any favours.

    Room for Pratley to control and turn 25 yards from goal. The ball sits up nicely for him and he sends a dipping volley onto the roof of the net. Spurs stood off and let him try his luck.

    Klasnic well forward, but he has to wait for support to arrive. When it does, Bolton are unable to pose a threat. Spurs, though, are just as wasteful as they spurn the chance to counter.

    Bogdan with a nervy clearance. He struggled to get his feet sorted and then sliced straight out of play. He has looked far from convincing so far.

    Assou-Ekotto continues to see plenty of the ball. On this occasion he helps the ball down the line into open space. Parker charges after the pass, but can't keep it in play.

    Nice build-up from Bolton as they work the ball from right to left. Pratley ends up inside the box and squares for Muamba. He needs a touch to set himself and by the time he has had it, the opportunity has gone.

    As I say that, Bale whips over a dangerous cross from the left but no-one in white has gambled and got into the six yard box. Spurs settle for a corner. Bogdan flaps at Van der Vaart's delivery and is fortunate to see Gallas behind him fluff their lines.

    Assou-Ekotto beats Miyaichi about eight times before eventually hooking over a cross. Knight is in the right place to nod clear for Bolton. Spurs have sent everything down their left this evening.

    Spurs trying to slow things down. Assou-Ekotto then races away down their left. He can't cross on the run, though, and his delivery slides along the floor.

    Alonso with a positive burst right at the heart of the Spurs defence. He plays a nice reverse pass into Klasnic, but he snatches at his shot and fires into the side-netting.

    Spurs have allowed their intensity to dip. They are now second to loose balls in the middle of the park. They need to settle down and get back into their stride. Bolton, meanwhile, need to keep pushing the issue while they are on top.

    Good spell for Bolton as Miyaichi is unfortunate not to gather a Petrov cross. He wins a corner, which he takes himself. The ball is fed low in to Muamba, but he slips as he shoots and fires high into the stands.

    Better hold up play from Klasnic allows Bolton to push men forward. A decent move sees them get the ball onto Petrov's left foot 20 yards from goal. He drags his shot badly and it skews well wide.

    Miyaichi's set-piece is nodded clear at the front post. Bolton try again with Alonso, but his cross is aimed towards Klasnic who is stood in an offside position.

    Van der Vaart into Bale, who tries to flick the ball forward with his heel. Nice idea, but Reo-Coker shows good strength to get in front of the Spurs man and clear his lines. At the other end, Nelsen has to put a Petrov cross behind.

    Knight does well to sell a dummy to Defoe. He has no movement in front of him, though, and ends up wasting all of his good work by spraying a pass straight at Gallas.

    At the end of a brilliant flowing move, the ball is sent into the box by Assou-Ekotto. Bale rises to meet the delivery, but sees the ball come off his shoulder and drift wide of the target.

    Spurs moving the ball around nicely. Bolton chasing shadows again. Tottenham not really getting anywhere, but they are eating into the Trotters' energy reserves.

    Defoe out wide now. He finds Van der Vaart, but he wants too many touches. Parker takes over and rolls a pass towards Walker straight out of play. Rare mistake from him.

    Great run from Parker as he breaks two tackles. Reo-Coker just about gets to him and concedes a corner. The set-piece is played short to Bale, but his hanging cross finds Defore in an offside position.

    Space for Ricketts to move into. He floats a cross to the back post, which Walker nods across the face of his own goal. Assou-Ekotto is on hand to punt the ball back up field.

    Saha pulls out wide onto the right once again. Alonso goes with him and concedes a throw. Modric then skips past his man, but a low delivery to the front post is hammered to safety by Alonso.

    Solid defending from Walker as he gets his body across Petrov and prevents the Bolton winger from getting in a cross. Impressive stuff from the hosts at the moment.

    Patient build-up from Spurs, they know they are in control of proceedings. Bolton working hard to keep them at a safe distance, though. That is until Defoe springs down the middle and almost connects with a long throw from Bale.

    Bale causing all sorts of problems. This time he crosses low, but Reo-Coker tracks back to take the ball off Modric's toe. Bolton are rocking and can't keep hold of the ball. Spurs swarming forward.

    Great pass from Van der Vaart to Bale, and an equally impressive take. The Spurs winger is able to keep the ball in play, but his cross is seen away by Knight.

    Klasnic with a decent leap and flick, but he has no-one running past him. Bolton need to make sure they get players in and around their lone frontman.

    Defore sniffing around for scraps, and it almost pays off. Saha drifts inside onto his left foot and goes for goal from 20 yards. His shot is spilled by Bogdan, but gathered at the second attempt. Defoe can't quite get a toe to the ball.

    Great start to the game, a proper cup clash. We could get a hatful of goals if the game is played at this pace for 90 minutes!

    GOAL SPURS - WALKER. Bolton's lead didn't last long. Bale teases Ricketts and delivers a brilliant cross to the back post. Walker towers above Alonso to send a bullet header past Bogdan. Parity restored.

    Alonso wins a 50-50 with Parker, but Spurs remain in possession. The ball is worked wide to Assou-Ekotto, but his centre is hacked clear by Boyata. Great pass from Modric to free the full-back in space.

    Redknapp looks very relaxed on the bench. He hasn't left his seat yet. He obviously has faith in his side to turn things around.

    Van der Vaart's delivery is powered clear by Knight. Muamba with good feet in the middle of the park, but Miyaichi is then unable to force his way down the right flank.

    Looks like Pratley won't be given that. Going down as a Bale own goal. He did take the ball into the net. Back with the live action and Defoe sees a low shot tipped behind by Bogdan.

    GOAL BOLTON - PRATLEY. The visitors take an early lead. The corner is deliveredowards the near post, where Pratley gets a head to the ball. His effort flicks off the shoulder of Bale and past Cudicini.

    Ricketts whips over a cross, which Nelsen gets a touch to in front of Klasnic. The ball comes at Walker quickly and he is unable to prevent a corner.

    Assou-Ekotto just puts too much on a pass towards Van der Vaart. The Duthcman made a clever run from out to in and would have been in on goal had he been picked out.

    Assou-Ekotto snaps into a tackle on Miyaichi. Spurs will be aware that he could cause them problems and will not want to give him any time on the ball.

    Spurs looking to knock the ball around, give as many players as possible a touch. Assou-Ekotto then suffers a rush of blood to the head and plays an aimless ball down the left towards no-one.

    Bolton looking to get onto the front foot early on, with Pratley winning a throw deep in Spurs territory. The Trotters will want to start positively.

52. Bolton get us up and running.

53. The teams are in the tunnel and we are almost ready for the off. Here they come! Drizzle greets the players onto the pitch, should help to slicken the surface up.

54. Jonny Walczak is backing Spurs to edge over the line today. He says: "I reckon this will be a tough game for Spurs tonight, Bolton definitely want to make progress in this competition and we have had a poor run of games recently. Despite this, I predict (mainly out of optimistic support) a 2-1 victory for Spurs, Defoe and VDV."

55. Less than 10 minutes to go until kick-off. Tension mounting steadily. Two sides that like to play football on show today, so here's hoping they stick to their principles and provide plenty of entertainment.

56. Jack Tiley thinks Tottenham will sweep Bolton aside with ease. He says: "I can see spurs finally clicking into gear after a few bad results. Bolton will be put to the sword here. Spurs 6 Bolton 1. Defoe with the goals and a brace from Saha and one from Van der Vaart."

57. Ian Fowler is another backing Spurs to progress to the semi-finals. He says: "Real worried about our defence today, Gallas and Nelson hardly quick. Recent form has taken a dip but fancy this to be 2-1 to the lily whites with Saha to score first."

58. Nick Panayiotou is first to offer his thoughts on today's game. He says: "Today is a massive test of character for the lads as they have lost a few big games of late. I still believe Spurs will come out on top in this one as, pound for pound, they are a stronger squad than Bolton (sorry Bolton fans). I will go for a 3-1 win today. COYS!!!"
