    Just seen the build-up to the Aussie opener again - what a catalogue of errors! First, Andy Webster is caught sleeping as Australia break down the left, before the ball is clearly out of play before Kruse puts it into the box. Then, Holman's shot is also over the line and hits Fox's hand. But neither was awarded by the referee, before Bresciano volleyed in from the resulting corner. Crazy scenes.

    And that's the last action of a decent first half as the referee blows his whistle. Let's hope for an equally lively second half.

    Scotland look to take advantage as Adam latches onto Snodgrass's pass on the right flank, but his cross is hacked clear by the Aussie defence.

    We're into the first of two minutes of injury time with Australia temporarily down to 10 men.

    But Caldwell gets a nibble of Holman to stop the Aston Villa midfielder in his tracks. Caldwell escapes a booking though as Holman hobbles off.

    An Australian attack - again through the lively Holman - breaks down and Scotland go on the counter. But Snodgrass had little support with only defender Berra somehow joining him up the field.

    Yep, guess who. It's that man Jordan Rhodes, who nets on his first international start. He shows his sharp instincts in the box to dart across his marker and meet Fox's fantastic inch-perfect left-wing cross with a bullet header which Schwarzer is unable to stop.

    If Fox did handle the ball then justice has certainly been done. The referee gave a corner after he stopped Australia scoring with a goal-line block, but it did not matter as Bresciano scored a wonder strike moments later. The midfielder timed a 30-yard volley perfectly to blast into McGregor's top corner. Wonderful.

    CHANCE! Scotland fall asleep from a throw-in and Australia must score...but no! It's blocked on the line by Danny Fox. Was it handball?

    Naismith lets fly from distance which, with the slightest deflection off a visiting defender, is safely gathered by veteran keeper Mark Schwarzer.

    Valeri then comes to the rescue in his own box as he deals with another dangerous cross from the Scottish right flank.

Rhodes has certainly proved he knows where the back of the net is after a prolific couple of seasons for the West Yorkshire side.
