Wales manager begins his journey to reach the 2014 World Cup

Wales boss Chris Coleman will face Bosnia in his first game on home soil as he prepares his squad for their 2014 World Cup campaign. Coleman's maiden match at the helm in May ended with a 2-0 defeat against Mexico in New York. However, Wednesday's game will provide him with a final opportunity to assess the players at his disposal as he embarks on his quest to reach the showpiece event in Brazil.

    Team news

Coleman has been rocked by the late withdrawals of West Ham pair Jack Collison and James Collins through injury. The duo would have almost have certainly featured in the game in Llanelli, but knee and groin worries mean they will be sidelined for this encounter. Despite the absence of the West Ham pair, Coleman still has a strong squad at his disposal with Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey, Joe Ledley and Joe Allen all set to feature. Bale caused some controversy earlier this summer when an injury ruled him out of the Olympics for Team GB, but did not prohibit him from playing for Spurs on their pre-season tour of America. Manchester City's Edin Dzeko is expected to lead the line for the visitors against the Welsh. The former Wolfsburg striker has an impressive record at international level with 21 goals in 45 games and could cause Coleman's defence some concern. Probable Wales team: Brown, Matthews, Williams, Gunter, Taylor, Allen, Ledley, Ramsey, Bellamy, Morison, Bale
