  1. FT

The final whistle blows. A solid display and a deserved win for Zambia. It felt at times as if they were playing within themselves, yet still managed to score a comfortable 3-0 win. Chipolopolo showed again how well organised they are - their defence was rarely stretched, while keeper Mweene never had to make any saves of real note.

  2. 90+3

Akram makes a good reflex save to stop Sakuwaha from scoring with a powerful drive

  3. 90

Four minutes of added time to come

  4. 89

Jonas Sakuwaha comes on for captain Chris Katongo

  5. 86

GOAL for Zambia! Chamanga adds the third with a beautiful curling shot from 20-yards out which Akram just cannot reach

  6. 85

No goalmouth action at either end in the last five minutes as Zambia look to comfortably play out the remainder of the game

  7. 80

Zambia still looking the more likely side to score. They go close when kalaba controls the ball neatly in the box, but he is foiled as Akram rushes out to make the block

  8. 75

A couple of anxious moments in the Sudan box. First Akram gets lucky not to concede after some comical, and poor keeping. And then the impressive Sinkala plays in Katongo, but Mowaia Bashir makes an excellent tackle

  9. 72

Sudan are enjoying some good possesion, but are not making much headway in attack. With 10 men, it appears the Nile Crocodiles could be on their way home...

  10. 69

Alrahman replaces Haitham Mustafa. That's Sudan's final change

  11. 66

GOAL for Zambia! Chipolopolo make it 2-0 as Chris Katongo nets from the rebound after Akram had saved his initial spot kick.

  12. 65

That's a second booking for Saif Eldin which means he's sent off

  13. 65

Saif Eldin fouls Kalaba and a penalty is given

  14. 64

Mayuka's night ends as Chamanga comes on

  15. 60

Sudan continue to show promise in their build-up play, but sloppy passes and too much time taken on the ball means that the end product is lacking. Zambia though by no means have this game sown up.

  16. 56

Zambia make their first change: Kasonde on for Lungu

  17. 55

The game has opened up nicely in the last five minutes. Sudan's best passage of play ends with Khalifa skewing his 20-yard shot wide. Then Mayuka gets called off-sides, incorrectly, when he would have been through on goal.

  18. 50

Sudan showing more promise in attack with a couple of crosses and free kicks into the Zambian box. But no real threat on Mweene's goal. Overall, the game is lacking in quality and entertainment, it could do with a bit of a spark.

  19. 46

The second half gets underway as Zambia kick off, knowing they are 45 minutes away from a place in the last four.

  20. Thats half time...not too much to show that Sudan will get back into the game. Zambia certainly a class above their opponents in the first half, but may well want the cushion of a second goal

  21. 45+2

Some good pressure from Sudan late on the in the half, but it ends with Muhannad Tahir getting booked for a dive in the box

  22. 45

We are into two minutes of injury time. Sinkala gets Zambia's first card.

  23. 42

Sudan again struggling with injuries as Nizar Hamid is forced off. He is replaced by Ramadan Agab

  24. 40

Still the game struggles to flow freely. Lungu again pops up after a good move, but he can't get a shot on goal

  25. 37

Khalifa becomes the second man to get booked

  26. 35

Akram makes a superb save to deny Kalaba, whose shot with the outside of his foot was heading for the corner

  27. 34

Saif Eldin, the Sudan centre back, gets the first yellow card

  28. 33

Otherwise not too much constructive play from either side. Overall its Zambia though who are in control. Chipolopolo looking the more energetic and creative side.

  29. 30

Ala'a Yousif pulls up with a muscle strain and the Al Hilal defender goes off, replaced by Amir Kamal

  30. 25

A bit of a stop-start affair at the moment with fouls and injuries curtailing the flow of the game

  31. 20

Its certainly the Sudan keeper. Akram, who is the busier man. He saves well from Lungu's 18-yard drive - Lungu popping up on the right wing this time. At the other end, Mohamed Bashir has a great chance when the ball falls to him on the edge of the area, but he shoots straight at Mweene.

  32. 15

GOAL for Zambia! Sunzu steals in at the near post to power home a free kick with a well-timed header

  33. 14

Sudan starting to look more comfortable, enjoying some good possession. But its Zambia who nearly scores when Chana plays in Mayuka - who shoots well, but Akram makes a good save.

  34. 10

Sudan keeper Akram does well to come out and steal the ball off the feet of Lungu - inside the box he could easily have conceded a penalty. The Desert Hawks have finally started making some inroads into the Zambian box, but have not caused any real threat of yet.

  35. 5

Its been a positive start from the Zambians, who have done all the early attacking. Kalaba with a few crosses into the box, while Lungu gets a shot on target, but its a weak effort. Sudan struggling to get out of their own half.

  36. 1

The game is underway as Sudan kick off procedings

  37. A moment's silcence for the football tragedy in Egypt earlier this week...
