  1. 90+3

It is all over here in Bata and Libya have claimed a famous win. In the end it wasn't enough to see them progress to the quarter-finals with Zambia beating Equatorial Guinea to qualify. Libya did themselves proud by beating Senegal, who go home with three losses. Another mediocre performance by the Teranga Lions who will no doubt face the wrath of their home support. But for now we say good night. Thanks for joining us.

  2. 90+1

Senegal win a succession of corners - they are trying to force a goal here but Libya are trying desperately to hold on to all three points.

  3. 90

There will be three minutes of added time...

  4. If Libya can hold on they will have recorded their first Nations Cup victory since 1982.

  5. 86

Camara has the ball in the back of the net but the goal is not given with the striker ruled to be in an offside position. Cisse's initial shot was well saved with Camara first to the follow up.

  6. The striker finished superbly after a neat volley lay-off from Zuway following some less than convincing defending from Senegal.

  7. 84

Ihab Albusaifi bags his second of the game and the second of his international career to give Libya a glimmer of hope.

  8. 80

They continue to look for a goal to give them hope but Diawara heads clear under pressure from Ahmed Sa'ad Osman. Sow leads the break away but with players either side of him and with greater numbers, the substitution conceds possession when all it needed was a soft touch to Cisse on his right. That pass pretty much sums up Senegal's AFCON.

  9. Zambia are leading in their match, meaning that Libya's fate is now completely out of their hands.

  10. 75

Sow has added some fresh impetus for Senegal upfront and he comes close to hitting the target after some neat interplay with his fellow forwards, but after being forced wide by the Libya keeper, he can only succeed in firing wide.

  11. 75

Deme N'Diaye is replaced by Issiar Dia for Senegal.

  12. 72

Cisse comes agonisingly close to bagging a goal with a delightful chip from at least 20 yards - but Senegal's luck is not with them and the ball flies just wide of the right-hand upright.

  13. 70

Libya make another change as Aboubaker Rabea replaces Abdulaziz Belrrish.

  14. 68

Moussa Sow replaces Niang for Senegal.

  15. 65

Super save from the Senegal stopper from a deflected shot from Ahmed Zuway. The keeper taking no chances with an acrobatic effort.

  16. 63

N'Diaye tries to add to his side's single goal as he lines up a free-kick but again the effort is poor - this time as the ball hits the wall.

  17. 60

Abdallah Sharif comes on and Abubakr al Abaidy makes way.

  18. 58

Mohamed Esnani is replaced by Elmabrok Marwan for Libya.

  19. It was in fact Souleymane Diawara who was guilty of that foul on Esnani - a case of mistaken identity from the ref.

  20. 56

Niang wins a free-kick for a smashing dive on the edge of the Libya box. He will swing the ball in himself - but to no real effect as Ali Salama concedes a corner. Niang again and it's a better delivery but the whistle has gone for a nothing challenge on goalkeeper Aboud.

  21. 52

Libya enjoying a bit of possession here, they are certainly up for this second half. But remain more of a threat going forward. Super skills from Mohamed Esnani as he breaks down the right hand side and Deme N'Diaye is yellow carded for bringing down the wide man.

  22. 47

El Mughrabi has to be careful here after another foul on Camara. The free-kick is played to Niang who delivers a good ball to the back post where Deme N'Diaye is waiting but he can't keep his volley down and skies his effort wide.

  23. 46

Demba Ba makes way for Papiss Cisse at the start of this second half. Senegal get us underway...

  24. The teams are back out after their half-time break and ready to kick off the next 45 minutes.

  25. 45

The whistle has gone to signal the end of the first half. After starting strongly, Libya have struggled to take a stranglehold on a game they need to win to have any chance of progressing in this tournament. With the score still 0-0 between Equatorial Guinea and Zambia it will be Chipolopolo who go through and the Mediterranean Knights who go home.

  26. 45

Senegal win a succession of free-kicks in the closing minutes of this first half. It has been a bit scrappy in the last ten minutes or so. Camara is the man at the centre of the action and he goes down under the challenge of El Mughrabi who is yellow carded for his efforts.

  27. 42

Super ball into the area from the right hand side an Zuway goes down in the box. Appeals for a penalty are disputed as the referee blows up the striker for being in an offside position.

  28. 40

Yellow card here to Abdou Kader Mangane for a foul on Ahmed Zuway. Libya have a free-kick in a good position out wide on the left but the ball is overhit and bypasses all the white shirts waiting in the box.

  29. 35

Mohamed Esnani is forced to clear off his own goal line after Mamadou Niang swings a boot at a deep corner. There was never any real danger there but the defender was well placed to deliver the ball safely back to his keeper.

  30. 30

Jamal Mohamed tries his luck from distance but his shot is well wide of goal.

  31. 28

Niang tries to float a free-kick of his own into the Libya box but his set-piece is woefully underhit and the Mediterranean Knights attempt a quick break away. El Mughrabi does his best to chase down a neat lob down the left touch line but there is just too much weight on the ball and Senegal can regroup.

  32. 25

Free-kick to Libya on the edge of the Senegal box that is nicely floated into Jamal Mohamed, but the big man only succeeds in nodding the ball over the posts.

  33. 24

Libya though are looking good when on the ball but a long ball to Ahmed Zuway is overhit and Senegal come forward with Soueymane Camara who is linking up well with Niang.

  34. 18

Senegal are much improved after their goal and are working some good goal scoring chances, Niang gets his head to another corner but cannot not direct the ball on target.

  35. 12

First caution of the match to Omar Daf for a foul on Mohamed El Mughrabi.

  36. N'Diaye did well there to rise high above everyone else and head home an inswinging Niang corner.

  37. 11

The commentators curse has stuck for Libya as Senegal pull a goal back through Deme N'Diaye.

  38. 8

A shot in anger for Senegal and it is Papa Diakhate who rockets his effort over the bar from the edge of the box. The Teranga Lions' poor tournament looks set to get worse.

  39. Ahmed Saad Osman was the provider, and how well he did on the left flank, jinking through a number of Senegalese defenders before slipping the ball through to Albusaifi, who under pressure, was able to get to the ball before Khadim Ndiaye and slide the ball under the goalkeeper.

  40. 5

Goal to Libya as Ihaab Albusaifi slides the ball over the line.

  41. 4

Good early chance for Senegal with Teranga Lions captain Mamadou Niang driving into the box and winning the first corner of the match - but the set-piece comes to nothing.

  42. 3

Libya start on the offensive but the pace is fairly pedestrian on a heavy pitch here in Bata.

  43. 1

Libya get this final Group A game, for both sides, underway...

  44. The teams are lining up on the pitch for the national anthems and we are now only moments away from kick-off...

  45. Senegal coach Amara Traore has made a massive six changes to his side with goalkeeper Bouna Coundoul having been replaced by Khadim Ndiaye. Lamine Sane, who is injured is also out, along with Issiar Dia, Dame Ndoye, Papiss Demba Cisse and Guirane Ndaw. Pape Diakhite, Mamadou Niang, Souleymane Camara, Deme Ndiaye and Omar Daf are in the side.

  46. Libya have made two changes for this tie with Rabea Aboubaker having been replaced by Abdulazziz Berrish while Ihab Albusaifi comes in for the injured Walid El Khatroushi. Mohamed El Mograbhi gets a start despite getting a nasty blow to the face in his side's game with Zambia.

  47. Senegal: 14 - Khadim N'Diaye, 5-Souleymane Diawara, 17- Omar Daf, 06 Abdou Kader Mangane, 04 Papa Diakhate, 22- Bouya M'Bengue, 14- Deme N'Diaye, 21-Mohamed Diame, 08- Mamadou Niang, 09- Soueymane Camara, 15-Papiss Demba Cisse.

  48. Libya: 01- Samir Abod (captain), 11-Mohamed El Mughrabi, 03- Abdulaziz Belrrish, 05-Younes Shibani, 4-Ali Salama, 02-Rabea Aboubaker, 23-Jamal Mohamed. 06-Mohamed Esnani, 10- Ahmed Saad Osman 19-Ahmed Zuway, 20- Ihaab Albusaifi.

  50. And with the beleaguered coach refusing to throw in the towel he will need a much improved performance at Estadio de Bata to keep his detractors at bay.

  51. Senegal have just pride to play for after their disastrous tournament that has seen large sections of its support base back home call for coach Amara Traore's head.

  52. Libya's fate doesn't entirely rest in their own hands, however, as they need Zambia to lose to Equatorial Guinea, preferably by more than one goal.

  53. While the Teranga Lions were tipped to go far in this year's competition, the less-fancied Mediterranean Knights were given little consideration. But with just one group game to play, it is the north African side who could qualify for the quarter-finals with a win tonight, whereas Senegal have already been eliminated.

  54. Good evening and welcome to tonight's commentary of the Africa Cup of Nations clash featuring Libya and Senegal.
