That's it! Tunisia are on the verge of a quarter-final berth while Niger look set to head home at the end of the group stages as they remain bottom of Group C. It's less than they deserve given their performance tonight, but I guess that's football. Hope you've enjoyed, I'm Ryan Gordon wishing you a pleasant remainder of your evening. Cheers all!
Niger are really piling on the pressure in the closing stages, and Maazou, for the umpteenth time, is through on goal, but this time he's on his wrong foot and instead of maybe trying to pick out a team-mate he goes for goal from a tight angle, but Aymen Mathlouthi was equal to it, and rightfully so. Meanwhile, another change for Mena as Laouali comes on for Issoufou Boubacar.
Niger made their first change of the match recently, with Daouda Kamilou coming on for William Tonji Ngounou, who goes home with the honour of having scored the country's first-ever AFCON goal.
Mohamed Karim writes: Niger is all over them in this game! Mena into the quarter-finals a possibility now! 2-1!
Mejdi Traoui becomes the second Tunisian to be booked, following in the footsteps of Bilel Ifa who was yellow carded earlier.
Niger's goal scorer Tonji Ngounou is down after taking a painful knock to the back of his head. The medical staff are called into action and he's soon all patched up. Meanwhile, Tunisia make their second change of the evening with Darragi coming on for Zouhair Dhaouadi.
Tunisia made just one change at the break, with Issam Jemaa coming on for Amine Chermiti. The former was expected to miss the group stages with injury, so his introduction comes as a big boost to the Carthage Eagles.
Big calls for a penalty in the closing stages here. Hagui appears to get in the way of Maazou who had cut inside the area at pace, but the referee is right there and waves play on. That moment proved to be the last piece of action for the half though and the players head down the tunnel. Join me after the break for the second-half.
Stephen from South Africa is hopeful of Niger's chances, but realistic too. He writes in: Hi Ryan, Mena are doing well to keep themselves in this and could possibly sneak something here, but Tunisia might just be too strong.
GOAL! Niger 1-1 Tunisia! William Tonji Ngounou!
GOAL! Niger 0-1 Tunisia! Youssef Msakni!
We're still waiting for confirmation on the team sheets, so why not take the time to get involved by emailing your own thoughts, predictions or footballing whatevers to firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll print them right here for all to see.
The odds aren't looking too good for Niger though and our friends at Sky Bet have put Mena at 8/1 to cause an upset this evening, while Tunisia are 4/11 favourites with hitman Amine Chermiti 3/1 to open the scoring.
