  1. It's been enjoyable for me being your eyes and ears this afternoon. I hope you enjoyed the game as well and please stayed tuned for all our post match reaction.

  2. Stoke returned to winning ways as they overpowered plucky Swansea. Swansea just never really managed to find a way through the Potters defence much to Tony Pulis' delight.

  3. 93

    Referee blows for full-time.

  4. 92

That was the best opportunity that Swansea have had all afternoon.

  5. 91

Begovic has just produced a top class save as he tipped Caulkner's header onto the bar. Top save

  6. 90

Three minutes od added time held up

  7. 90

Pulis substitutes indicate he is getting ready to take the win now

  10. 87

    Crouch replaced by Palacios

  11. 86

    Shotton replaced by delap

  12. 85

Rangel shows his frustration as he gets out wide and plays a poor cross out of play

  13. 84

Swansea manage to clear this corner as Caulker headers it away to earn his side a breather

  14. 83

Whelan's cross is flicked on at the near post but no Stoke player is able to get a killer touch onto it. Another near miss for stoke

  15. 82

Whelan stands a free-kick towards Crouch is cleared by Caulker for a corner

  16. 81

Sigurdsson tries to wriggle through a posse of Stoke defenders in the area but under challenge fails to get a clean strike on goal.

  17. 80

Wilkinson tries to play in Jerome but his heavy touch stops him going through on goal

  18. 79

Moore does well to turn and fire a shot at goal but it's easily saved by the Potters 'keeper.

  19. 77

Swansea's subs have made a bit of an impact but they are really to find a way through this well marshalled defence

  20. 75

Sigurdsson free-kick is gathered by Begovic as the second time of asking

  21. 73

Jerome gets back well and endears himelf to the Stoke fans by tracking back and winning a free-kick

  22. 72

Sigurdsson lets fly from 20-yards after a purposeful run but it goes harmlessly wide.

  23. 71

Shotton gets a great dilivery into the box. It goes over Jerome but Walters sneaks in behind him but can only fire into the side netting

  24. 70

    Sinclair replaced by McEachran

  25. 70

    Dyer replaced by Moore

  26. 68

Swansea look like they are getting ready to make changes

  27. 67

    Jerome replaces Etherington

  28. 65

Dyer loses the ball as Etherington and Upson combine to stop his progress down the right flank

  29. 64

Rangel's drags his shot across the box and it is deflected out for a corner.

  30. 62

For all the plaudits that Rodgers has recieved for their passing style, they do need a plan B for days like today when they are being crowded out.

  31. 61

Stoke show no signs of wilting as they keep up their high pressure approach to closing down their oponents

  32. 59

Rodgers has his notepad out and is in deep consultation with his coaching staff. Looks like he is about to make a change

  33. 58

Will Brendan Rodgers make a change? His side do need something different as they try and get back into this game

  34. 57

Joel has emailed in saying: Well tremmel just isn't up to it, badly missing Vorm! caulker and Williams look lost with out him! need something special this half! maybe routledge??

  35. 56

Swansea have gained their approach and are patiently going about their business.

  36. 55

Swansea are really struggling to deal with Crouch's height. He's causing all types of problems for them defensively

  37. 54

Another long throw from Shotton causes panic in the Swansea area. Tremmel again is no where near it as Crouch flicks it on but Walters gets underneath the ball and heads over from three yards. Great chance.

  38. 52

Dyer gets in the inside left position but his left foot shot is feeble and drifts harmlessly wide.

  39. 52

Long throw by Shotton has too much distance on it as Tremmel comes out to claim it

  40. 51

Swansea cannot get out of their own half at the moment they are being penned in

  41. 50

Stoke look in no mood to surrender their two-goal advantage.

  42. 49

Stoke press Swansea high up the pitch and win position but Walters is unable to get his delivery into the box.

  43. 48

Tremmel manages to punch aware Crouch's header back into the area from Etherington's searching corner.

  44. 47

Last-ditch defending from Swansea gets the ball out the danger zone as it looks like going through to Walters.

  45. 46

Stoke restart the match and know they are just 45 minutes away from stopping their four-game losing run.

  46. Welcome back, the teams are coming back out for the second half.

  47. But can they keep this up for another 45 minutes? Or will Swansea's fluent style get some results after the break? Send me your thoughts on how you see the second half going. I'm off to get a brew and see what the pies here are like.

  48. Well it's advantage Stoke at half-time as they lead 2-0 against Swansea. Tony Pulis' decision to rest nine players appears for their last game against Valencia appears to be working. Stoke have been full of energy as they have chased and harried Swansea.

  49. 45+2

Crouch's bad touch means the ball goes out for a throw-in.

  50. 45+1

Graham requires treament but he gets up and is ready to continue with the game.

  51. 45

Rangel puts in a teasing cross but Begovic comes out and punches the cross clear but causes Graham to land awkwardly.

  52. 43

Could Swansea grab one before the interval. They are surging forward in the hope of doing so.

  53. 42

Dyer gets into a promising area on the right touch line but his quality is lacking on this occasion and his cross goes out

  54. 41

Etherington's deep cross is volley back across the area by Whelan to Crouch who just fails to get his boot on it.

  55. 40

Swansea, though, do not deserve to be two goals down. Can they claw one back before the interval?

  56. 39

Shotton's long throw is met by Crouch and slips through the hands of Tremmel as Stoke extend their lead.

  57. 38

    CROUCH!!! GOAL!!!!

  58. 37

As half-time beckons Stoke will be happy to head into the interval in the lead. In fairness to Stoke, they are pressing and working hard.

  59. 35

Good move on the edge of the Stoke area but an intricate Swansea moves breaks down. They are really playing in tight spaces and leaving little room for error.

  60. 34

Shotton tries to power his way past taylor on the right flank but the bounces off him and out for a goal kick

  61. 32

You know what you are going to get from Swansea and they will just continue to try and pick a whole through the Stoke defence.

  62. 31

Aaron has emailed in saying: I think swans need to show a bit more urgency and composure in front of goal! Danny graham and scott Sinclair to score! 2-1 swans!!

  63. 30

Graham battling for the ball in the area as it bobbles around in the area but the big striker is eventually penalised for a foul.

  64. 29

Taylor glides past four Stoke players and into the area but an inch perfect tackle from Upson curtails the danger

  65. 28

Swansea are maintining possession and are being forced backwards as Stoke close all the space in front of them. They are protecting their lead

  66. 27

The resulting free-kick from 30-yards out is whipped over the bar by Sigurdsson

  67. 26

Shawcross booked for foul on Graham.

  68. 24

How will Swansea react now? They have not really put a foot wrong in the game but were overpowered by Stoke at the corner

  69. Upson loses his marker at the corner and powers his header past Tremmel who could do nothing about it.

  70. 23

    UPSON!!! GOAL!!

  71. 22

Speaking of effort, Sinclair chases down the Stoke defence until they are forced to pass it all the way back to Begovic who clears it.

  72. 21

The game needs a goal. For all the effort on show by both teams, it's a little short on goal mouth action.

  73. 20

The contrast in styles out there is so interesting. Swansea keep fizzing that ball around looking for the space and angles to exploit

  74. 19

Sinclair gets wide and tries to get the ball into the box but Upson clears the ball

  75. 18

Right, back to the action and Swansea are on the attack.

  76. 17

Edd Irwin has emailed in from Durban saying: I know Swansea has got a dismal away record, but Stoke are also battling to get a result in the Premier League. With all the W's playing I'm going for Stoke to win 2-1.

  77. 16

Swansea fan Joel has emailed in saying: . Hoping the swans deliver today! shame about Vorm but hopefully Tremmel can step up to the mark and be solid inbetween the sticks. We need to stick to the same tactics as we did at home, let them hoof the ball upfield and win the second balls instead of competing the aerial battle! 3-1 Danny graham (2) and Siggurdson - Crouch for stoke

  78. 15

Swansea's possession play in midfield is impressive and they almost manage to carve out a chance.

  79. 14

The game has suffered a slight lull after the initial high octane start to the game

  80. 12

Good move by Stoke ends with Walters' shot on the turn being blocked by Taylor. Nice approach play by Stoke

  81. 10

Tremmel spoons his clearance under pressure and he looks slightly nervous out there

  82. 9

Upson climbs at the far post to get his head onto Etherington's corner but he is unable to direct his effort which goes over

  83. 7

Wlaters tries to cross to Crouch but his delivery is slightly behind him and Allen picks up the ball and brings it out to set up an attack.

  84. 6

It's been a brisk start by both sides and the Stoke crowd appear pumped up for this clash

  85. 5

Crouch clashes heads with Taylor after he headed Etherington's cross out of the area

  86. 3

Crouch has half a chance as Swansea fail to clear the ball properly after Tremmel had missed with a punch but Swansea clear the danger

  87. 2

Swansea are quickly into their customary passing style. Dyer pulls the ball back from Sinclair who balloons over from six yards.

  88. 1

Swansea get the game on the way here against a backdrop of noise from the Stoke fans

  89. Tremmel replaces Vorm in the Swans goal who misses this clash with a virus.

  90. David Musil has emailed in saying: Stoke 1-2 Swans, Dyer and Graham for Swans, Crouch for Stoke.

  91. The teams are out on the pitch and kick off is now just minutes away.

  92. Both teams are on 30 points and in mid-table safety and will want to reach the magical 40 point mark as quickly as possible.

  93. At home Stoke have surprisingly faltered of late. They have not won at home in over two months, and have yet to earn a single point in 2012 at the Britannia.

  94. Do you Stoke fans out there agree with Anne? Or is Pulis' squad big enough to cope with a long, tough season? Don't be shy - get your voice heard!!! Email in.

  95. Anne from Stoke has emailed in saying: With no fresh faces in the transfer window for Stoke there's a danger of things getting stale. Wouldn't be so bad if Tone would use a couple of the reserves, like Arismendi, more often, but hey, that's a different universe. I'm going 1-1 with Crouch for Stoke.

  96. Graham may have been slow to open his Premier League account for the Swans, but once he did on October 2nd, he has been the highest scoring Englishman in the league. In Sinclair, the Welsh side have a penalty expert who has scored the most spot-kicks in the league this season.

  97. The Potters will have to weary of Danny Graham and Scott Sinclair this afternoon.

  98. Email me on and give me you views on how you see this game going.

  99. So will Tony Pulis' decision to rest so many of his first-team players against Valencia in anticipation of this match be vindicated? Or will Swansea continue their recent improvement in their away form?

  100. Rory Delap earns a place on the bench after winning an appeal against his sending off at Crawley, while Joe Allen returns to the Swans starting line up after a hamstring injury ruled him out against Norwich.

  101. Swansea: Tremmel, Williams, Taylor, Caulker, Rangel, Britton, Sinclair, Dyer, Allen, Sigurdsson, Graham Subs: Tate, Monk, Routledge, McEachran, Gower, Lita, Moore

  102. Stoke: Begovic, Shawcross, Upson, Wilkinson, Shotton, Whelan, Wilson, Whitehead, Etherington, Walters Crouch subs: Sorensen, Pennant, Delap, Palacios, Jones, Fuller, Jerome

  103. The teams are in...................

  104. But their away form has been woeful. They have won two of their last three away games but have collected just nine points on the road this term.

  105. Swansea have impressed everyone this season with their fresh attacking football.

  106. However, it remains to be seen whether that gamble will pay off!!

  107. Tony Pulis had an eye on this fixture as he named a much changed line-up for the second leg of their European clash against Valencia in Spain.

  108. Their domestic form had suffered somewhat with the Potters losing four league games on the trot.

  109. Stoke will be hoping for an instant return to winning ways after they were knocked out of Europe in midweek.

  110. Good afternoon and welcome to the Britannia Stadium for the Premier League clash between Stoke and Swansea.

  111. Live updates will appear here from 1500 GMT.
