Full time: Arsenal 2 Borussia Dortmund 1
Arsenal give the ball away near the right corner flag, the ball goes in the area towards Lewandowski who tees up Shinji Kagawa for a late consolation.
Goal!! Van Persie!!!
Before it is taken Abou Diaby comes on to make his first appearance of the season in place of Theo Walcott.
Sub for Arsenal: Laurent Koscielny is replaced by Johan Djourou.
Benayoun is then booked for a late challenge, cards coming thick and fast at the moment.
Aaron Ramsey is booked, apparently for kicking the ball away, but to me it looked like he was merely passing the ball back where it should be taken.
Change for Arsenal: Yossi Benayoun is on for Gervinho.
Dortmund sub: Sebastian Kehl is replaced by Lucas Barrios, a striker on for a midfielder.
Theo Walcott isn't happy, he has a go at Marcel Schmelzer, who he feels barged him off the ball. The referee isn't impressed though and shows Walcott the yellow card.
Twitter update - @Charles_Hayesx and @kwamznumber1 are both predicting a 2-0 Arsenal win, I can't disagree with that prediction at present.
Marcel Schmelzer is booked for a silly challenge on Walcott, he will now miss Dortmund's next game.
Goal!!! Van Persie!!!!
Aquilina has emailed in and says:"Yeah I totally agree with you, Arsenal are under pressure. Im hoping we will pull this one through, I think Dortmund will retaliate in the second half. Wenger should play Arshavin; it been a long time he played and I guess I am missing the Russian magician, hoping RvP will work his magic again too."
Half time: Arsenal 0 Borussia Dortmund 0
Mario Gotze's evening has come to an end, he is replaced by Ivan Perisic. That is a boost for Arsenal, mind you it was Perisic who scored that spectacular equaliser in the first game between the two sides back in September.
Moritz Leitner is on for Sven Bender, who leaves the field on a stretcher wearing a neck brace, lets hope is isn't as serious as it looks. The Arsenal fans sportingly applaud him from the field.
@ThorogoodStew says on Twitter: "Reckon Arsenal may struggle tonight, Dortmund full of confidence and in need of a win, maybe 2-2 or Dortmund 2-1 late goal"
Drew says via email: "Not one of the easier games but the Gunners should win tonight, will score 2 or 3 with RVP to grab at least 1!"
Cian Hughes is the first to email in, he says: "Tough game tonight!!! After Borussia Dortmund beating Bayern Munich 1-0, I think that they will come out strong tonight!!! I will go for a 2-1 win for Arsenal with Robin Van Persie getting the 2 goals."
