Moyes: Eyeing a first win of the campaign
Everton host Sheffield United in the Carling Cup on Wednesday searching for a first win of the campaign.
The Toffees missed out playing at Spurs on the opening weekend of the Premier League season due to the riots in London and then suffered a shock 1-0 home reverse to QPR.
After a summer of no signings, boss David Moyes will be looking to put that defeat quickly behind his side and earn a victory to give the fans something to cheer about at Goodison Park.
In contrast, Sheffield United go into this clash high on confidence after an unbeaten start to life in League One, taking ten points from their opening four games.
Danny Wilson's side beat Hartlepool in the last round, progressing on penalties after the game had finished 1-1 in extra-time.
Team news
The Toffees will be without the suspended Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and the injured Seamus Coleman (ankle) and Magaye Gueye (toe).
Influential Tim Cahill and strike pair Louis Saha and Jermain Beckford are doubts.
The Blades have been boosted with the news Stephen Quinn has been passed fit to play, while Chris Porter is also available after he featured at Tranmere last time and has not felt any ill-effects.
Daniel Bogdanovic is also available again after missing out last time with a sickness bug, but Ryan Flynn has been described as '50-50' and Kevin McDonald is definitely out with an ankle injury.
