Dons end tour with victory

MK Dons continued their pre-season preparations with a 2-1 win over Drogheda to conclude their 10-day tour of Ireland.

Mathias Doumbe put the Dons in front with a diving header at the start of the second half before Sam Baldock extended the lead from the penalty spot. The League of Ireland Premier League side pulled a goal back in the 90th minute when Stephen Quigley's dipping 20-yard strike beat trialist goalkeeper Ian Mcloughlin, who was a late change to the starting line-up after David Martin was rested as a precaution following a knock. The Dons have now won all three of their pre-season friendlies, scoring eight goals and conceding just two. Next up for Karl Robinson's side is League Two club Oxford on Saturday.
