A late goal from striker Charlie MacDonald secured Brentford a 2-1 pre-season friendly win at Aldershot on Saturday.
The striker dinked the ball into an empty net after Shots goalkeeper Jamie Young blocked his initial effort 14 minutes from time. Aldershot took the lead after half an hour when new Reading loanee Jake Taylor rounded Bees goalkeeper Richard Lee and was brought down by Shaleum Logan, with Michael Rankine converting the penalty. But Brentford's leveller before the break also came from the spot, Gary Alexander tucking away the penalty after a handball in the Shots' area.
