Taylor: Still missing for Cherries

Taylor: Still missing for Cherries

Team news ahead of Tuesday's Carling Cup first-round clash between Bournemouth and Dagenham and Redbridge at Dean Court.

Danny Ings is a doubt for Bournemouth. The striker was taken off late on in the Cherries' 3-0 loss at Charlton and is unlikely to be fit in time for Tuesday's match.

Lyle Taylor is likely to lead the line in his place after coming on in the second-half of their League One opener.

Joe Partington has a hip injury and is sidelined until September, while Steve Lovell is also out, leaving the Cherries short on options up-front.

Manager Lee Bradbury is unlikely to make many unforced changes to his side, as Bournemouth look to improve on last season's cup campaign, when they were knocked out in the first round to Southampton.

James Shea is set to make his debut for Dagenham in the game.

The on-loan Arsenal goalkeeper was edged to the bench for Saturday's 1-0 victory at Macclesfield, only to be called upon in the 80th minute after Chris Lewington was sent off for deliberate handball outside of his area.

Lewington now serves a one-match suspension at Dean Court and Shea will get the chance to stake his claim for the gloves.

Josh Scott is expected to have recovered from a slight knock sustained in training on Thursday. The striker was in line to be fit for the season-opener having missed the second half of last term with a blood clot on his lung.

Manager John Still, who is able to name seven substitutes in the Carling Cup, has picked up no new injuries. But he is still without midfielders Billy Bingham (knee), Peter Gain (hernia) and Kevin Maher (metatarsal) as well as striker Rob Edmans (fractured leg), while it remains to be seen whether Damian Scannell (groin) will return.

Club captain Mark Arber is set to make his 600th appearance for the Daggers should he feature.
