Reda Johnson: Misses out for Wednesday

Reda Johnson: Misses out for Wednesday

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Sheffield Wednesday and Wycombe at Hillsborough.

Sheffield Wednesday have no fresh injury concerns to contend with as they aim to seal automatic promotion from League One.

The Owls have been trailing city rivals United in the race for second spot for much of the last few months, but they finally got their noses in front by beating Brentford last week before watching the Blades draw with Stevenage.

That means matching United's result at Exeter will seal a return to the second tier after two years away.

But they will do so without defenders Julian Bennett (knock) and Reda Johnson (thigh), who have missed the last four and five games respectively, as they are still not fit.

Everyone else is fit and available and boss Dave Jones could keep the same side that won at Griffin Park.

He said: "If you're a player you want to be involved, even if your leg is falling off. Promotion will be life-changing for the players."

Wycombe will check on Ben Strevens ahead of the game.

The striker limped off after just 26 minutes of the defeat at Notts County which condemned Wanderers to relegation from League One last weekend.

Veteran winger Gareth Ainsworth came on for Strevens and could start if he fails a late fitness test.

Dave Winfield is still out with a thigh injury and fellow defender Anthony Stewart remains sidelined with a medial ligament strain.

Winger Chris Hackett will miss the last game of his loan spell from Millwall with the groin problem which has ruled him out of the previous three matches.

Defender Gary Doherty and midfielder Craig Eastmond play the final game of their loans from Charlton and Arsenal respectively.
