Lester: Set to return for Chesterfield

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Stevenage and Chesterfield at Broadhall Way.

Stevenage could hand a debut to Patrick Agyemang.

The striker joined Boro on loan for the rest of the season from QPR on Thursday and is expected to go straight into Gary Smith's squad.

Fellow loanee Jordan Slew, who made his debut in last week's draw at Exeter, is available after missing the midweek FA Cup defeat to Tottenham because he was cup-tied.

Top scorer Chris Beardsley returned from a hamstring injury at White Hart Lane and is competing for a starting spot along with Agyemang, Slew, Darius Charles and Craig Reid.

Manager Smith has no other selection problems and is looking to get Boro's play-off push back on track following a run of four league games without a win which has seen them drop to eighth.

Jack Lester is likely to return to spearhead Chesterfield's attack.

Lester was rested on Tuesday night as the Spireites claimed a goalless draw at Preston and is expected to go straight back into the starting line-up.

Centre-half Simon Ford will also be back after being rested as the club continue to manage his knee problem.

On-loan defender James Hurst is close to coming back into the reckoning after missing the last six matches with an ankle injury.

Manager John Sheridan is trying to sign a replacement midfielder for David Davis, who has been recalled from his loan spell by parent club Wolves.

Dean Morgan will not be involved as the forward has joined League Two club Oxford on a one-month loan deal.
