Team news ahead of Saturday's League One clash between Sheffield United and Colchester United at Bramall Lane.

Sheffield United defender Lecsinel Jean-Francois returns to contention for the home game with Colchester following suspension.

The French left-back sat out the home defeat to Huddersfield in midweek after reaching five yellow cards and manager Danny Wilson must now decide whether to recall him to the starting line-up or retain Marcus Williams.

Midfielder Kevin McDonald was a half-time substitute against Huddersfield following an ankle injury and is pushing for a return to the starting line-up, as is striker Ched Evans, who also stepped off the bench in midweek.

But fellow midfielder Nick Montgomery is still struggling with a similar problem and is not ready to return, while defenders Chris Morgan and Johnny Ertl (both knee) remain sidelined.

Wilson has no new injury or suspension worries as his side look to bounce back from their first defeat of the season.

Meanwhile, Jon-Joe O'Toole will miss Colchester's trip to high-flying Sheffield United through suspension.

The midfielder shrugged off injury to be named on the bench for Tuesday's 1-1 draw at Brentford but, having been introduced as a 63rd-minute substitute, was shown a straight red card late on for a lunging tackle on Myles Weston.

O'Toole now starts a three-match ban and will miss the games against the Blades, Walsall and Chesterfield.

Magnus Okuonghae returned in midweek having missed last Saturday's draw against Leyton Orient with an ankle problem and is set to keep his place at the heart of defence in what could well be an unchanged side.

Colchester have now drawn each of their last three matches 1-1 and travel to Bramall Lane to face a United side second in League One only by virtue of a slender goal difference.

Ashley Vincent (knee) and Bradley Hamilton (fractured cheekbone) remain in the treatment room.
