Cuthbert: Out injured for Oldham clash

Team news ahead of Saturday's League One clash between Leyton Orient and Oldham Athletic at the Matchroom Stadium.

Leyton Orient will be without Scott Cuthbert when they face Oldham.

The defender was sent off during Tuesday night's 3-1 defeat by Bournemouth and starts a three-match ban.

Elliot Omozusi, fit again after a calf problem, is likely to earn a recall to the back four in Cuthbert's absence.

Skipper Stephen Dawson (ankle) and striker Jamie Cureton (groin) missed out in midweek and remain doubtful while striker Jonathan Tehoue is still on the sidelines with an arm injury.

Tottenham loanee Ben Alnwick stays in goal after shoulder injuries accounted for first-choice Jamie Jones and his replacement David Button.

The O's remain bottom of the table and are still searching for their first win of the season.

Meanwhile, Oldham boss Paul Dickov is boosted by the return of winger Filipe Morais and defender Zander Diamond.

Both men missed the midweek win at Walsall through knee injuries but Bradley Diallo serves the final game of his three-match ban and a number of other players may remain sidelined due to injury.

Dean Furman, Josh Parker and Paul Black all missed the 1-0 win at Walsall in midweek, a result and performance which left Dickov in buoyant mood.

He said: "We were without five players who were possible starters and as much as I said I wanted a smaller squad, and it's being tested at the minute, I think it's got quality in it.

"When those players come back, they'll find it hard to get back in if the boys play like they did on Tuesday night."
