Ford: Set to miss Bury clash

Team news ahead of Tuesday night's League One clash between Chesterfield and Bury at the b2net Stadium.

Chesterfield defender Simon Ford is likely to be absent as last season's top two in League Two meet.

Centre-half Ford was forced off after only 10 minutes of the 3-0 victory at Bournemouth on Saturday following a knock to the head.

Dean Holden came on for Ford and could keep his place alongside on-loan Jonathan Grounds at the heart of the back four.

Leon Clarke, signed on loan from Swindon on Friday, went straight into the team and marked his first appearance with a goal.

Clarke looks set to make his home debut with veteran striker Jack Lester sidelined by a broken arm.

The two sides met at the end of last season in a controversial game which saw Bury win 3-2 to clinch promotion along with Chesterfield.

Bury boss Richie Barker has promised to make changes following the 4-2 home defeat by Rochdale on Saturday.

On-loan Hull forward Mark Cullen was named as a substitute for that game and could start after recovering from a hamstring injury.

He may join Shaun Harrad in attack after the striker made his full debut at the weekend.

The Shakers will have to do without defender Mark Hughes and midfielder Steven Schumacher who remain sidelined with injury.

Both players have been out since August with hamstring and calf problems respectively and are still some way from returning to full fitness.
