Malone: Set to return

Malone: Set to return

Team news ahead of Saturday's League One clash between Bournemouth and Chesterfield at Dean Court.

Scott Malone is set to return to the Bournemouth side.

On-loan defender Malone had been given extra time to recover from an ankle problem which has forced him to miss the last two matches, but the club are confident he will feature this weekend.

The 20-year-old is expected to come into the starting XI at the expense of Warren Cummings.

Ryan Doble will play the last game of his current loan spell against the Spireites.

The Southampton forward has yet to score in four appearances during his month with the Cherries.

Michael Symes and Joe Partington are still sidelined but Darryl Flahavan is expected to keep his place in goal ahead of Shwan Jalal.

Leon Clarke has been drafted in to boost Chesterfield's attacking options.

Spireites boss John Sheridan, who worked with Clarke during his spell in charge of Oldham, has moved for the striker on a three-month loan deal after the blow of losing Jack Lester to an arm fracture suffered in the goalless home draw with Leyton Orient last weekend.

Clarke, 26, signed a two-year contract at Swindon last month after being released by Premier League newcomers QPR this summer but has been told he will never play for the Robins again after an on-field bust-up with manager Paolo Di Canio following a recent Carling Cup defeat to Southampton.

Mark Randall has put himself back in contention after a month out with a hip problem. The former Arsenal trainee played for over an hour as the reserves drew 0-0 at Stoke.

Fellow midfielder Dwayne Mattis did not take part in that game so his injured ankle may keep him on the sidelines along with utility player Jamie Lowry (broken toe).
