Carlisle clinched a 2-1 win over Bournemouth in their first home victory with Tom Taiwo and Craig Curran scoring exciting goals.

Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter, who had a loan spell at Brunton Park, converted a penalty for the Cherries following a foul on Steve Lovell in a thrilling second half of Saturday's League One clash. Although the first half was goalless both sides' defensive frailties were exposed and Carlisle's Ivory Coast striker Francois Zoko hit the post with an early effort, while Cherries' on-loan Southampton striker Ryan Doble's low effort beat goalkeeper Adam Collin only to hit the foot of the post. Carlisle seized the advantage four minutes after the break when James Berrett's free-kick from the left was driven towards goal by Peter Murphy and Taiwo slid in at the far post to make sure with the final touch. Cherries were level on the hour-mark when Jon Paul McGovern's tackle on Lovell was penalised and Arter convincingly beat Collin from the spot. A great cross from on-loan Newcastle defender James Tavernier found Curran at the far post and he restored Carlisle's lead in the 77th minute with a left-footed finish which cannoned off defender Nathan Byrne.
