FULL TIME. That's it, Fulham win here at the DW to register their first away victory and make it seven losses in a row for Wigan who are in trouble. Alan you were right with your prediction, thanks for everyone's views today. Stay with us for reaction.
Alcaraz is booked.
Fulham take the free-kick towards Ruiz in the right corner but he loses the ball and Duff then gets booked for a late challenge.
Dembele cannot continue and Duff comes on for him.
Alcaraz catches Dembele for a Fulham free-kick 30 yards out on the right. He also gets booked.
GOAL - DEMBELE!!! Dembele wins it for the Cottagers. Sidwell intercepts a pass and passes to Dembele who goes around Alcaraz before running at the box. Caldwell backs off him and Dembele slots home from the edge of the box into the bottom left hand corner!!!
Ruiz is on for Zamora.
Etuhu is booked for fouling Watson. It is a Wigan free-kick 30 yards out in front of goal.
Play resumes and Caldwell catches Dempsey for a free-kick m35 yards in front of goal and he gets booked.
Stam is on for Boyce for Wigan.
Etuhu is on for Murphy for Fulham.
Di Santo is on for Crusat as Martinez tries to get back into the game.
Rodallega is fouled by Hangeland for a Wigan free-kick 30 yards in front of goal.
Dembele is booked for catching Watson late on the halfway line.
Alan has been back in touch to say: "My prediction at 2 nil to Fulham with Dempsey and Murphy scoring is on track . . . . Perhaps I should of put a bet on ????" Yes, though I think Wigan are not out of this and my 2-1 prediction to the Latics could easily happen as well!
Fancy a bet? Sky Bet's Nigel has been in touch to say: "Clint Dempsey's goal just before half-time has given Fulham the edge and they are now 2/5 to go on and claim all three points at the DW Stadium. Wigan are 8/1 to mount a second-half comeback and win, while the draw is available at 11/4. Bobby Zamora, who unselfishly set-up Dempsey's goal, is 8/1 to get on the scoresheet next." Cheers for the info Nigel!
HALF TIME. Fulham go in one up after hitting Wigan on the break. The Latics were on top for long periods of the first half but could not score. Stay with us for the second half.
GOAL - DEMPSEY!!!! Fulham hit Wigan on the break and score. Schwarzer rolls the ball out to Murphy who hits a great long ball from midway in his own half to release Zamora to the left of the box. Wigan appeal for offside but nothing is given and Zamora runs into the box and crosses to the unmarked Dempsey to tap home from six yards!!!!
Diame has not recovered from the challenge by Sidwell and is being replaced by McArthur.
Alan says: "No disrespect to Wigan but on paper Fulham should dominate this game from the word go, however they're not playing like they should so this game could go either way. I will be backing my Fulham boys to get the rare "Away" win and more importantly the 3 points. 2 nil perhaps ?? Dempsey and Murphy!!!"
Grygera is booked for a late challenge on Diame on the halfway line on the left.
Elijah says: "Fulham to win 1-0 through Zamora, since he's probably looking to make up for his Torres style miss against Everton. Very close though, just can't see Wigan winning."
FIRST VIEW - Gabriel Sutton has been in touch to say: "Wigan have lost their last 7 games in all competitions. They are now well into the relegation mixer and, on their recent performances I think they'll go down. Roberto Martinez must invest in January to stand much of a chance. As for Fulham, their 6-0 win over QPR seems a lifetime away, as the Cottagers look over their shoulders in 17th place. That miss from Bobby Zamora could have proved crucial in their season and he's got to find his form if Fulham are to be avoiding a relegation dogfight come New Year. Seeing as both teams seem to be playing like frightened rabbits at the moment, I think this game will be just as effective as a football match between 22 frightened rabbits would actually be." Cheers for your view Gabriel, I don't know about rabbits, I fancy we'll see some quality today as both teams like to pass the ball but I reckon Wigan will edge it, we will see! Enjoy the game!
Fancy a bet? Sky Bet go 15/8 for a Wigan win, 9/4 for the draw and 7/5 for a Fulham victory. I'm going for a Wigan win today - 2-1 with Rodallega to score first which pays a handsome 45/1!
