All over at St James' Park - job well done for Newcastle but Blackburn will be bitterly disappointed.
Salgado goes into the notebook for saying something which the referee doesn't like.
Another sub for Newcastle with Jonas Gutierrez, who has impressed with a hard-working display this afternoon, replaced by Sylvain Marveaux.
Last throw of the dice for Blackburn as Vince Grella comes on.
Great cheer from the home fans as Hatem Ben Arfa rises from the bench to make his first Premier League appearance in almost a year.
Olsson, booked moments earlier, cynically hauls down Cabaye to stop a Newcastle counter attack and recieves his second yeelow card.
And then Jason Roberts comes on to replace Mauro Formica who has barely featured.
Indeed Dann can't continue and a bold move from Steve Kean sees young ex-Barcelona midfielder Rochina replace the centre half.
Toon fan Scott emailed a half time backing Ba to get a third. He says: "Told ya Ba would get hattrick. Toon Army. Ho'way."
First yellow card of the game goes to Lowe.
GOAL!! And Newcastle go up the other end to score for 3-1!
Toon fan James Whitehead says: "An entertaining first half very impressed with Newcastle's form at the moment, looking forward to seeing much of the same in the second half. I believe Best will carry on his fine form and grab another toon goal for a massive toon army win."
But would you bet on them walking away with a share of the points? Sky Bet's Jonathan Witty says: "Demba Ba is 6/1 to complete his hat-trick with the next goal while the Magpies are 1/4 to claim all three points. Blackburn are 12/1 to snatch victory with the draw available at 7/2."
And a view from the other side comes from Rovers fan Ben Sumner. He says: "Rovers need to tighten up at the back... big pressure on Kean's HT team talk... As this first half proves, one win doesn't make you a good manager. It will either end up 2-2 or a landslide for Newcastle."
Newcastle fan Ewan Wardell has sent a half time email. He says: "I think a tight second half but Best will come good yet again, 3-1 finish for the mighty Toon!"
However, it sets up an exciting second half and I'm looking forward to seeing how it pans out. What do you think will happen? Email your thoughts to firstname.lastname@example.org or Tweet me @J_Jurejko.
So Newcastle are clearly the happiest of the two teams at the break. But I'm sure Alan Pardew will be unhappy at letting Blackburn, whose defensive errors have cost them, back into the game.
Referee Martin Atkinson blows the whistle on an enjoyable first half at St James' Park.
GOAL!!! Blackburn are back in the game through Junior Hoilett.
GOAL!!! Ba grabs another for 2-0 to Newcastle.
GOAL!!! 1-0 to Newcastle thanks to Demba Ba.
The last pre-match comment goes to Blackburn fan Harry Glover who says: "Newcastle will not keep a clean sheet today, not with the Yakubu threat. Rovers can score, we've seen that recently, I'm predicting 2-1 to Rovers."
Toon fan Damon Wade is not fortunate enough to be at the game because he is stuck in work. But he says: "I'm glad to see Hatem Ben Arfa on the bench but I would not risk him in this game as I am expecting a very physical encounter, 3-2 Newcastle win."
Steve Kean has spared a second to Tweet in! Or at least a parody account of the Blackburn boss @Steve_Kean has... It says: "I can confidently confirm a 2-1 victory to my Rovers boys."
Fancy a flutter on this afternoon's match? Sky Bet's Jonathan Witty has kindly provided the latest odds and says: "Blackburn have won six of the last seven meetings between the sides and are 10/3 to do so again. The Magpies are 5/6 to secure another home win and the draw is 5/2. Rovers were amongst the goals in last week's 4-3 win over Arsenal and over 2.5 goals in this game is 10/11."
Tweeter @pablo8688 reckons: "It won't b 3 or 4 nil but would b disappointed with anythin other than nufc win! 2-0 Ba to get off the mark will suffice!"
Another Rovers fan Gordon Whitehead, who is following our coverage from the USA, says: "Hoping for a Rovers win, but we really need to get rid of Kean. His record is pathetic." Seems the pressure hasn't eased on the Blackburn boss despite last weekend's thrilling win. Sure another win will help...
Blackburn fan Darryl Haworth does fancy Rovers picking up the three points today. He says:"Hopefully Kean will be playing Olsson left wing though, as Givet has been getting skinned at left back recently with no defensive cover from Hoilett. Feed the Yak and he will score!!! 1-2 Yakubu and Rochina to score."
Another Toon fan...another home win prediction. Jordan Pearson says: "I'm going for comfortable 2-0 Newcastle win today with Leon Best grabbing a brace with a goal in each half." Come on Blackburn fans let's hear from you - is it going to be an easy home win? Or can your boys follow up last week's opening victory against Arsenal with another three points? Email email@example.com or tweet me @J_Jurejko with your opinions.
Seems the home fans are expecting a landslide victory this afternoon. Greame McGrory has been in touch via email and says: "Expecting a solid victory today. All is well in the Toon camp (we will see how long that lasts!) So I predict a comfortable 3-0 display. Cabaye has finally arrived, man of the match performance out of him is expected and can Leon 'Georgie' Best continue his ridiculous goals to games ratio? Lets hope so! Marveaux was lively during the week, I would say he will get some game time at some stage too!"
Optimistic Newcastle fan Ryan Crook is our first Tweeter of the the afternoon. He says: "I reckon it's guna be 4-0 TOON! Ben Arfa and Best to score at least one each." Doubt comeback kid Ben Arfa will start but I'll be bringing you the full team news as soon as it arrives shortly.
