Fenton: Set to return for visitors

Team news for Tuesday's League Two clash between Accrington Stanley and Morecambe at Crown Ground.

Boss Paul Cook still has a raft of injury problems to contend with as Accrington prepare for this fixture.

Cook enjoyed his first win at the seventh attempt as Northampton were beaten 2-1 at the Crown Ground on Saturday.

Craig Linfield came off the bench to net the winner three minutes from time against the Cobblers and could push for a start.

Midfielder Ian Craney has returned to training and may be named among the substitutes following an ankle injury lay-off but there is no other encouraging news for Cook's absentees.

Captain Dean Winnard remains sidelined with an ankle problem and is one of four defenders in the treatment room, with Danny Coid (ankle) Sean Hessey (hamstring) and Ian Burton (hernia) completing the quartet.

Veteran playmaker Michael Hughes remains out due to a hamstring injury.

Meanwhile, Morecambe boss Jim Bentley is expected to welcome back experienced defender Nick Fenton.

Fenton was due to be sidelined for a month with a calf injury but returned to training two weeks ahead of schedule and is set to bolster a Shrimps defence that kept its first clean sheet for five matches in the weekend victory over Barnet.

Top scorer Kevin Ellison opened the scoring in the 2-0 win at Underhill, his 17th goal of the season. The veteran winger has suffered from a niggling back problem over recent months and was substituted as a precaution during Saturday's second half but should retain his starting place.

Striker Jack Redshaw marked his full Morecambe debut with the second goal and will be confident of continuing up front.

Knee injury victims Laurence Wilson and Andy Fleming are out for the season.
