Substitute Charlie Barnett scored an 88th-minute winner as Accrington beat Aldershot 3-2 at the Crown Ground.

With just two minutes left, the sub played a neat one-two with Ian Craney following a corner and rifled the ball into the net from 15 yards to end a five-game winless run for Stanley.

Danny Hylton struck for the visitors in the seventh minute when Anthony Straker worked hard down the left and fired in a deep cross to Jermaine McGlashan, whose outstretched leg put the ball back in the danger area and Hylton rushed in and rifled the ball into the top of the net.

Within four minutes Stanley were level when defender Sean Hessey blasted a 25 yard effort free-kick low and hard into the bottom of the net for his second goal of season

Dean Holdsworth's side got back in front on 24 minutes when Alex Rodman's corner was headed in by Hylton for his seventh goal of the season. But Stanley were level again on 56 minutes when Craney got the ball on the right of the area and fired in a shot which deflected off a defender into the path of Danny Coid, who drilled home his first Stanley goal from 12 yards out.

It was a momentous game for home captain Andy Procter who became only the second Stanley player to reach 400 games for the Crown Ground club.
