Rigg: May return from injury

Team news ahead of Tuesday night's League Two clash between Port Vale and Bradford City at Vale Park.

Marc Richards will begin another spell on the sidelines for the Vale.

The striker faces a three-match suspension following his red card for violent conduct during the 2-0 victory at Plymouth on Saturday. Richards was sent off after tangling with Warren Feeney.

The 29-year-old's dismissal, in only his second start of the campaign after recovering from ankle trouble, means he will miss the visit of the Bantams as well as the derby matches against Shrewsbury and Crewe.

Sean Rigg could come in for Richards if manager Micky Adams feels he has recovered from the hamstring injury that has kept him out of the last two matches.

Chris Martin is likely to keep his place in goal after replacing Stuart Tomlinson at the weekend as Vale kept their first clean sheet of the season.

Meanwhile, Adams has revealed he will not be offering a deal to trialist winger Albert Jarrett.

Bantams manager Phil Parkinson could consider a couple of changes to his side for the game.

Parkinson has no major new injury or suspension worries but confirmed several of his players were nursing bumps and bruises following the weekend draw with Bristol Rovers.

Winger Jamie Devitt, on loan from Hull, made his first start for the Bantams on Saturday, while striker Ross Hannah is pushing for a return to the starting line-up after stepping off the substitutes' bench.

Midfielders Jack Compton and Mark Stewart are also hoping to play a bigger role for Parkinson, who could boost his squad with Nahki Wells, with the striker having returned from international duty with Bermuda.

Parkinson is chasing his first win in charge of the Bantams, who have drawn both their league matches since former boss Peter Jackson quit.
