Team news ahead of Saturday's League Two clash between Swindon and Southend at the County Ground.

Swindon are facing a defensive selection nightmare for the clash.

Alberto Comazzi is suspended following his red card against Rotherham last week and the Robins' star performer of the season so far, Aden Flint, is struggling for fitness after picking up an abductor injury in midweek.

With defensive cover limited as it is, Italian utility man Alessandro Cibocchi is also not 100% fit and Will Evans is on loan to Hereford in a deal which is not believed to feature a release clause.

Joe Devera will be drafted into the middle of the back four, and it is likely club captain Oliver Risser will partner the Venezuelan at the heart of the defence despite Risser dislocating his thumb in training on Thursday.

Up front, Lukas Magera is missing due to injury while midfielder Abdul Said is a long-term casualty.

Meanwhile Southend's ranks will contain plenty of familiar faces for the trip but Michael Timlin will not be one of them as he is unable to face his parent club.

Midfielder Timlin recently signed for the Shrimpers on loan from Town until January but is ineligible for the County Ground clash under the terms of the arrangement.

But Southend manager Paul Sturrock does return having managed Swindon for just over a year between 2006-2007, as does fit-again son Blair, who played for the Robins for three years before being released in 2009.

Midfielder Jean-Paul Kalala (groin) returned to training on Thursday having missed the last three matches and will come back onto contention providing he suffers no ill-effects.

But Neil Harris (groin), Lee Sawyer (thigh) and Liam Dickinson (suspension) continue to miss out, as does striker Barry Corr (knee).
