Schofield: Misses out

Schofield: Misses out

Team news ahead of Saturday's League Two clash between Rotherham United and Dagenham and Redbridge at the Don Valley Stadium.

Rotherham will be without suspended midfielder Danny Schofield for the home game.

Schofield sits out a one-game ban following the two yellow cards he received in last week's 3-2 defeat at Swindon, so Brett Williams, on loan from Reading, Chris Holroyd and Ben Pringle will all be vying for a place in the starting line-up.

Manager Andy Scott will be boosted by the return of defender Troy Brown from international duty with Wales Under-21s and has no other new injury or suspension worries.

But goalkeeper Jamie Annerson, defender Johnny Mullins and midfielder Paul Warne (all knee) remain long-term absentees.

The Millers will be looking to bounce back to winning ways after suffering their first league defeat of the season at Swindon.

Meanwhile Jon Nurse returns to contention as Dagenham & Redbridge face Rotherham for the first time since the club's famous triumph in the 2010 League Two play-off final.

Striker Nurse has missed the Daggers' last two games having been on international duty with Barbados but is back in the fold for the trip to the Don Valley Stadium.

Captain Mark Arber (back), midfielder Luke Howell and winger Medy Elito (groin) remain doubts after missing Wednesday's dramatic 14-13 penalty shootout victory over Leyton Orient in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Josh Scott (knee), Rob Edmans (fractured leg) and Kevin Maher (metatarsal) also missed the tie but the trio are long-term absentees.

Midfielders Peter Gain and Billy Bingham both got 90 minutes under their belts after lengthy spells on the sidelines, while Richard Rose came on at half-time, and all three will again be in contention this weekend.

Manager John Still has no new injury or suspension problems to contend with following the midweek success.
