Clarke: Left out of Swindon's squad

Team news ahead of Saturday's League Two clash between Swindon and Rotherham at the County Ground (kick-off 12.15pm).

Leon Clarke will not feature in Swindon's squad.

The striker has been told he has no future at the County Ground and will not play for the club again following his public bust-up with manager Paolo Di Canio at the end of Tuesday's Carling Cup defeat to Southampton.

Clarke had only played four games for the Robins following his switch from QPR but is now set to find a new club when the loan window reopens next week.

Young midfielder Ahmed Abdulla is available to make his debut having completed a deadline-day loan switch from West Ham.

Captain Oliver Risser faces a late fitness test on the thigh strain that has sidelined him of late, while defender Nathan Thompson is unavailable due to a knee injury.

Italian goalkeeper Mattia Lanzano is pushing for his first appearance between the sticks following his summer arrival as Town look to reverse a four-match losing streak in the league which stretches back to the opening day.

Brett Williams and Alex Revell could make their Rotherham debuts.

Williams has joined on loan until January from Reading while Revell has signed permanently for an undisclosed fee from Leyton Orient.

One man who will not be pulling on the red shirt is Adam Le Fondre after he ended his prolific stay in South Yorkshire, where he plundered 58 goals in 101 starts, by signing for Reading last week for an undisclosed fee.

Manager Andy Scott must now decide whether to stick with Lewis Grabban and Chris Holroyd in attack or hand debuts to Williams or Revell.

Scott has no fresh injury worries to contend with, meaning Johnny Mullins, Jamie Annerson and Paul Warne (all knee) are his only injured players, although defender Troy Brown is on international duty with Wales Under-21s.

The Millers are the only unbeaten side left in League Two this term.
