Reid: Could make his City debut

Team news ahead of Saturday's League Two clash between Morecambe and Bradford City at the Globe Arena.

Morecambe boss Jim Bentley will assess the fitness of defender Will Haining.

Haining sustained a knock during last weekend's 2-0 win at Northampton and was replaced after 53 minutes by Andy Parrish.

Midfielder Andy Fleming has been nursing an ankle complaint which has left him sidelined since the opening day of the season.

He is set to miss out again while Paul Scott remains a long-term absentee, yet the Shrimps are in buoyant mood as they seek a fifth straight league win.

Bentley is urging fans to turn out in force, saying: "We've had two home games now and it's fair to say we have been disappointed with the crowds to date.

"The lads have certainly done everything that has been asked of them so far and deserve the support."

Bradford boss Phil Parkinson has no fresh injury concerns for his first match in charge.

The former Charlton boss watched on from the stands as his new charges beat Sheffield Wednesday on penalties in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Tuesday.

Now he will orchestrate things from the touchline at the Globe Arena but will still be without midfielders Lee Bullock (hip), David Syers (knee) and defender Simon Ramsden (calf).

Loan signing Oscar Jansson was the shootout hero against the Owls, with the Tottenham man saving two penalties, but new boy Matt Duke is pushing for a start in goal. New signings Kyel Reid and Jamie Devitt are also in contention to make their debuts.
