McLaren: Fully fit after knee injury

McLaren: Fully fit after knee injury

Team news ahead of Saturday's League Two clash between Oxford United and Aldershot at The Kassam Stadium.

Oxford have no new injury concerns as they chase their third successive league win against Aldershot.

Chris Wilder's side have had a week to prepare for the visit of the Shots as they were already out of the Carling Cup.

The U's are still toasting a 2-1 derby victory over Swindon on Sunday and that followed another impressive 2-0 win over Shrewsbury.

Midfielder Peter Leven completed his first 90 minutes of the season against the Robins and came through unscathed. Paul McLaren also played the entire match and he is now fully fit following a knee injury.

Oxford do have two players on the sidelines. Tony Capaldi is another three weeks from action after undergoing a back operation and Tom Craddock (knee) will miss two to four weeks.

Meanwhile Aldershot manager Dean Holdsworth is likely to name an unchanged starting XI for the trip to Oxford.

The Shots pulled off a shock in their rearranged Carling Cup first-round tie, coming from behind to beat West Ham 2-1.

Holdsworth made two changes from the side which went down 2-0 to Morecambe in the league. Aaron Morris and midfielder Jake Taylor were promoted to the starting line-up and both will be hoping they did enough to retain their positions.

Taylor's inclusion could be in doubt as he was replaced by Michael Rankine in the 55th minute and it was Rankine's introduction which sparked the comeback.

Rankine had started every game for Aldershot before the Hammers match and will hope to displace Taylor.
