Team news ahead of Saturday's League Two clash between Shrewsbury Town and Crewe Alexandra at the Greenhous Meadow.

Shrewsbury boss Graham Turner is set to make changes following his side's winless start to the League Two season.

Turner has kept faith with the same starting XI for each of Town's first four games in all competitions but, after watching his side go down 2-0 at Oxford on Tuesday night, opened the door for his fringe players to step in.

The likes of Chris Neal, Joe Jacobson, Jermaine Grandison, Connor Goldson, Steve Leslie, Terry Gornell, Jon Taylor and Sean McAllister all did themselves no harm at all as they narrowly lost 2-1 to a strong Wolves side in a practice match on Wednesday afternoon, with McAllister netting for Shrews.

Afterwards Turner told the club's official website: "It was good experience for the young lads and there were some good performances which gives me some interesting selection decisions to take ahead of the weekend's game."

One huge boost for the Shrews boss was the earlier than expected return of Tom Bradshaw against Wanderers, the striker managing 40 minutes without any ill-effects having damaged cruciate knee ligaments during pre-season.

Crewe boss Dario Gradi could again be without Matt Tootle.

The defender has been struggling with a groin strain and, although he has started running again, the visit to Greenhous Meadow could come too soon.

The Railwaymen have tasted defeat in all four of their opening matches this season, losing their three league games and being dumped out of the Carling Cup by Preston.

Gradi will ponder changing his formation after leaving out full-back Harry Davis and playing 3-5-2 in Tuesday's 2-1 home defeat against Rotherham.

Nick Powell could be recalled after an impressive second-half performance against the Millers and Gradi believes his side's campaign will soon ignite, saying "The players are down but they will pick themselves up."
