Morris: Set for Torquay debut

Team news ahead of Saturday's League Two clash between Torquay United and Burton Albion at Plainmoor.

Torquay's new signing Daniel Leadbitter is out of their opening game of the season.

The 20-year-old right-back, who joined from Newcastle in June, will have to wait to make his debut due to a hamstring injury.

But striker Billy Kee has shaken off a knee injury suffered in pre-season so boss Martin Ling has an otherwise full-strength squad.

Of Ling's other summer signings, Robert Olejnik starts in goal while defender Brian Saah, winger Ian Morris and strikers Rene Howe and Taiwo Atieno should all be involved.

Midfielder Joe Oastler has made his loan spell from QPR permanent and forward Chris McPhee is in line for his second debut after rejoining the club from Kidderminster.

Tony James is an injury concern for Burton.

The centre-half injured his groin during the recent pre-season friendly at Telford and was taken off after just half an hour.

It remains to be seen if he will make the trip to Devon, although Albion boss Paul Peschisolido has been boosted by the return to training of fellow defenders Nathan Stanton and Aaron Webster.

Stanton missed the Brewers' final warm-up game at Telford last Saturday after sustaining a knee injury in training.

Webster also missed the trip to the New Bucks Head after injuring his ankle in the Bass Charity Vase victory over Derby a few days earlier.

Summer signings Ross Atkins, Tom Parkes, Danny Blanchett, Cleveland Taylor, Chris Palmer, Justin Richards and Adi Yussuf could all make their debuts at Plainmoor.
