Image: Goodison: Fitness concern for Rovers

Team news for Saturday afternoon's League One clash between Tranmere and Notts County at Boundary Park.

Tranmere manager Les Parry will assess the fitness of Ian Goodison. Rovers were boosted by the surprise return of the veteran Jamaica international during Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Rochdale after three games out with a knee injury. Goodison replaced Nick Wood at the back and impressed alongside Mark McChrystal before he was forced off with cramp in the closing stages. Parry will hope to have him available to face Paul Ince's side but a number of players look set to remain sidelined. Zoumana Bakayogo, Marlon Broomes, Max Blanchard and Tim Cathalina are still troubled by injury and on-loan midfielder Lateef Elford-Alliyu is due to play the final game of his two-month loan spell from West Brom. Notts County have no new problems ahead of the trip to Tranmere. Neal Bishop shrugged off a knock to play the full 90 minutes against Walsall in midweek and the midfielder should keep his place in the side after suffering no reaction. Manager Paul Ince has options should he wish to freshen things up. The 1-1 home draw against the Saddlers extended the Magpies' winless run in all competitions to five games. John Thompson, Alan Gow and Kevin Smith came off the bench on Wednesday evening, while John Spicer, Graeme Lee and Lewis Gobern were unused subs. All six players will hope to be recalled as Ince's side try to avoid ending up in the relegation places come 5pm on Saturday.
