Lewis Montrose was the hero for Wycombe as his effort in injury-time sealed a point in a 2-2 draw with Shrewsbury.
Tom Bradshaw and Lionel Ainsworth's late strike looked set to condemn Wycombe to defeat, but Andy Sandell and Montrose cancelled out the visitors' lead to ensure a share of the spoils. Shrewsbury could have found themselves ahead after just two minutes, but former Wanderer Matt Harrold's header from a corner struck the post. The home side failed to impose themselves on the game and were booed off by sections of the crowd at the break after Shrewsbury defender Ian Sharps had headed against the crossbar. But they took the lead just after the hour with left-back Sandell's superb free-kick. Bradshaw played the role of super-sub for Shrewsbury as he nodded home just two minutes after coming on - before Ainsworth's cracking drive put them in front. But the Chairboys fought right to the end and were rewarded when Montrose struck the equaliser late on.
