  1. It's all over here at the Vassil Levski Stadion in Sofia as Wales have defeated Bulgaria 1-0 in their Euro 2012 Group G qualifier. Gareth Bale's goal on the stroke of half time proved to be the difference, and the visitors had several chances to increase their advantage. Wales also hit the crossbar and deservedly won the game. From me, it's goodbye for now. Have a nice evening.

  2. 90+2

Stiliyan Petrov is booked for Bulgaria.

  3. 90

Three minutes of stoppage time have been awarded here. Three minutes for Wales to end their qualifying campaign with a win, three minutes for Bulgaria to restore parity.

  4. 88

Just two minutes of normal time remain in this match.

  5. 87

There has just been an announcement at the stadium. Wales fans have been requested to remain in their seat for 15 minutes after the match.

  6. 85

What a miss from Bozhinov! He was sent through on goal as he found himself on the blind side of Chris Gunter, but he failed to keep his cool and shot just wide of Hennessey's post.

  7. 83

Aaron Ramsey goes close for Wales from just outside the Bulgarian penalty area as he gets past his marker, but cannot keep his final shot on target. Brilliant effort from the skipper, though.

  8. 80

10 minutes remain in the match here, and Wales look the more likely side to win this encounter. But they still lead 1-0 and do need one more goal.

  9. 78

Gareth Bale is again in the thick of the action, as he leaves his marker for dead down the right flank and forces a corner from the Bulgarian backline. However, nothing productive comes out of it.

  10. 76

Bellamy sends Ramsey through down the inside-left channel but the referee flags the Arsenal midfielder offside.

  11. 75

15 minutes of normal time remain here in Sofia as Wales lead Bulgaria 1-0.

  12. 74

Bozhinov tries to force in a shot from the left side of the Wales area but his attempt is blocked.

  13. 71

Substitution for Bulgaria. Ivelin Popov goes off and on comes Dimitar Rangelov.

  14. 70

Substitution for Wales. Simon Church comes in for Steve Morison.

  15. 69

The visitors survive a scare as Spas Delev gets the better of Neil Taylor inside the penalty area on the right and puts the ball in front of the goal, but it is cleared away with haste.

  16. 67

Georgi Terziev sends in a low cross from the right flank from inside the Wales penalty area but Hennessey claims the ball with ease.

  17. 65

Speed's side come close to scoring again, this time Joe Allen whipping in a cross across the face of the Bulgarian goal from the right flank. The ball eventually falls to Ramsey, but the Arsenal midfielder slips and the home side finally regain possession.

  18. 64

Wales have appeared very enthusiastic and energetic in the second half and will consider themselves unlucky not to have doubled their advantage a few minutes ago.

  19. 62

Substitution for Bulgaria. Valeri Bozhinov comes on for Valeri Domovchiyski.

  20. 60

We have just reached the hour mark here in Sofia and Wales lead 1-0, thanks to a goal from Gareth Bale on the stroke of half-time.

  21. 59

Bale and Ramsey combine with each other, this time the latter playing a lovely ball through to the former, whose volley from the edge of the area hitting the underside of the Bulgaria crossbar. Sensational stuff from the visitors.

  22. 58

Stiliyan Petrov takes a free-kick for Bulgaria from distance but fails horribly, as the ball goes wide.

  23. 57

Wales' Joe Allen is shown a yellow card.

  24. 56

Bellamy comes ever so close again to giving Wales a 2-0 lead as he takes a shot at the far post from an acute angle from close range, but cannot keep it on target.

  25. 54

Bellamy and Steve Morison combine inside the Bulgarian area but this time Nikolay Mihaylov is up to the challenge and staves off the danger.

  26. 53

Craig Bellamy goes close once again as Wales craft a sensational move inside the Bulgarian 18-yard-box. Bale passes the ball to Ramsey inside the area, who flicks it backward to Bellamy but the Welsh forward's shot is off target.

  27. 51

Substitution for the home side. Spas Delev comes on for Stanislav Manolev.

  28. 51

Ivan Ivanov is now booked for Bulgaria.

  29. 50

Five minutes gone in the second half here in Sofia. Just as in the first session, it is Wales who have commenced on a positive note.

  30. 48

Once again Wales earn a free-kick from pretty much the same area and once again it is Bale who delivers the free-kick. But this time Mihaylov claims the ball with ease.

  31. 47

Vladimir Gadzhev is booked for Bulgaria.

  32. 47

Wales earn a free-kick on the right side, and it is Bale who takes it. His floating delivery is inviting and is targeted for someone at the far post, but there is no one in a Wales shirt to tuck it in.

  33. 46

And here we start with the second-half action. Will Wales increase their lead or will Bulgaria be able to restore parity? Let's find out...

  34. So what did you make of the match so far? Send me your thoughts at Subhankar.Mondal@bskyb.com.

  35. It is half time here in Sofia now and Wales lead Bulgaria 1-0, thanks to a strike from Bale on 45 minutes. Wales started the match the better of the two teams, but the hosts got back into it and could have even taken the lead. However, it is Gary Speed's side who have the advantage here at the moment.

  36. 45

GOAL! Gareth Bale scores and it is 1-0 to Wales. The highly rated Spurs winger was sent through on goal between two defenders, and he finds the net with a left-footed shot from just on the edge of the area past Mihaylov's near post. It appears that it took a deflection off of Ivan Ivanov's heel.

  37. 43

I am getting reports that Darcy Blake was substituted because of a calf injury. I will keep you informed on this as and when I get news.

  38. 42

Alexandar Tonev goes agonisingly close to giving Bulgaria the lead but his shot from just outside the Wales penalty area goes narrowly wide. It was all down to Popov's great footwork inside the area as he hoodwinked Chris Gunter and Ashley Williams.

  39. 40

Substitution for Wales. Adam Matthews comes on for Darcy Blake.

  40. 40

Five minutes of normal time left here at the Vassil Levski Stadion in Sofia. It is goalless still but the game has become more even.

  41. 37

Ramsey tries his luck from close range and shoots at the Bulgaria goal, but the whistle was already blown by then.

  42. 35

Ivelin Popov is once again in the thick of the action as he carves out a very good low cross from the right side of the Wales penalty area, but there is no one at the end of it.

  43. 32

Once again Bale tries to march down the right flank but he is stopped in his track by a brilliant tackle from Alexandar Tonev. It was probably the best challenge I have seen so far in this match.

  44. 30

Ivelin Popov takes a shot from distance but it goes wide of Hennessey's goal.

  45. 28

Brilliant display from Tottenham winger Gareth Bale yet again down the right flank. He keeps the ball in play, marches down the right flank with ease and floats in an encouraging cross for Bellamy. However, the striker losses possession of the ball and Speed's side fail to make anything from this chance.

  46. 26

Wayne Hennessey rescues Wales from conceding the opening goal of the evening, as he calmly picks up the ball following a corner that Ivan Ivanov strikes towards the goal. Bulgaria appear to have found their feet finally in this fixture.

  47. 25

Bulgaria once again garner another corner, this time Domovchiyski and Manolev combing on the right flank.

  48. 24

The visitors survive a rare scare as they clear away an Ivelin Popov cross from the left wing. Bulgaria return with yet another delivery from the same flank and once again the Dragons clear away the danger.

  49. 22

We have now reached the midway point of the first half and the deadlock is yet to be broken. But it has been an enjoyable game so far, with Wales looking the more likely team to score

  50. 19

Once again Wales ask questions of the Bulgarian backline, as Steve Morison plays a ball over the host' defensive unit for Bale, but the Tottenham winger cannot get to the ball in time.

  51. 17

Another chance goes abegging for Wales, as Aaron Ramsey's shot from close range is blocked and it goes out for a corner. The set-piece yields nothing productive.

  52. 16

A defensive mistake from Wales sees Petrov and Domovchiyski match into the penalty area, but the latter takes too much time on the ball and the chance for Bulgaria to break the deadlock goes abegging.

  53. 15

It has become quiet in the last few minutes here in Sofia as we get past the first quarter of an hour.

  54. 12

Remember, Wales can finish third in the group should they win tonight and Switzerland lose to Montenegro in the other game. So Speed's side do have something to play for.

  55. 10

10 minutes gone in the match and it remains goalless. But Wales have certainly made the better start, with Bellamy and Bale asking early questions of the Bulgaria defence.

  56. 8

Bale once again marches down the right flank and whips in an inviting cross that eventually does not yield anything.

  57. 7

Gareth Bale on the action now as he gallops down the right side of the Bulgaria penalty, gets past a few challenges but his final shot from an acute angle is smothered and the ball goes out for a goal-kick.

  58. 6

Wales are certainly on the upbeat mood now as Bulgaria are getting pushed back.

  59. 5

Craig Bellamy! The ball reaches him because of a defensive mistake just on the Bulgaria penalty area, and the striker hits it hard at goal but Nikolay Mihaylov claims it with ease.

  60. 3

Bulgaria are finding their feet at the moment and are passing the ball now. However, it does not seem that the hosts are in much mood to set the game alight.

  61. 2

Wales are passing the ball around at the back aimlessly as the match has commenced on a slow note.

  62. 1

And here we start here at the Vassil Levski Stadion in Sofia...

  63. Here is the Bulgaria line-up: Mihaylov, Manolev, Terziev, Zanev, Tonev, Popov, Miliev, Domovchiyski, Ivanov, Gadzhev, Petrov

  64. So what do you make of Wales' line-up? How will Gareth Bale perform tonight? Send me your thoughts and prediction to me at Subhankar.Mondal@bksyb.com.

  65. I am still waiting for the Bulgaria line-up. Hopefully it will come through soon.

  66. I now have the Wales' starting XI, and here is the team: Hennessey, Gunter, Blake, Williams, Taylor, Crofts, Allen, Ramsey, Bale, Morison, Bellamy

  67. Some betting tips for you. According to Skybet.com, Bulgaria are 11/8 to win while Wales are 2/1 to register a victory here in Sofia.

  68. Wales are coming into tonight's encounter on the back of an encouraging 2-0 defeat of Switzerland at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea on Friday. Bulgaria were not in competitive action last week.

  69. I have still not got the team line-ups but I am sure that they will be handed to me shortly. Meanwhile, let me remind you that England have already won this group and have qualified for the Euro 2012 finals automatically. Montenegro have finished runners-up and will feature in the play-offs.

  70. So what are your thoughts on the game? Do you reckon that Wales could conjure up a victory tonight? Send me your opinion at Subhankar.Mondal@bskyb.com.

  71. Bulgaria are at the foot of the table with just five points from seven matches, while Wales are a point ahead of them in fourth. Gary Speed's side can finish as high as third in the group, should they garner maximum points tonight and Switzerland lose to Montenegro.

  72. Hello and welcome to Skysports.com's live coverage of the Euro 2012 Group G clash between Bulgaria and Wales in Sofia. Neither side stand any chance of getting a play-off place but pride is at stake at the Vassil Levski Stadion.
