    Mariners battle for survival

Grimsby travel to Burton looking to keep their league status intact on the final day of the season. The Mariners have to win and must rely on Barnet to lose or draw against promoted Rochdale to avoid relegation to the Blue Square Premier. Barnet's collapse with a string of six defeats in a row, including defeat to the Mariners, has given Neil Woods' team the opportunity to complete a dramatic escape from the drop. Burton have little to play for but a possible top half finish should they achieve victory and score a few goals in the process, but it has been a successful season in their first term in league football under Paul Peschisolido.

    Burton team news

Burton have doubts over winger Jimmy Phillips and on-loan striker Steve Kabba ahead of the game. Kabba is suffering from tendinitis in his knee and required an injection this week whilst Phillips picked up a knock in training. 46-year-old veteran Kevin Poole retains his place in goal with Artur Kysiak still out with an ankle problem. Richard Walker has a calf problem whilst Jacques Maghoma misses out as he recovers from knee surgery. Aaron Webster, Greg Pearson, Andrew Corbett, Shaun Kelly and Keith Gilroy are all available for recall whilst youngsters James Knowles and Kevin Grocott are likely to be on the bench.
    Grimsby team news
Grimsby have doubts over Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro's ability to start the game after picking up a thigh injury in the game against Barnet. Despite coming through the full match the striker struggled to train with the side on Thursday and had to miss the session. Woods also has a slight concern over on-loan midfielder Dean Sinclair after the player came off during the match against the Bees with hamstring trouble. Sinclair has resumed full training but will be closely monitored before a decision is made whether he can participate.
