Weston: Available again

Gillingham will welcome back Curtis Weston for their first home league game of the season against Luton on Saturday.

The midfielder started the opening-day draw at Bournemouth and is available again after missing the Carling Cup defeat by Colchester in midweek under the terms of his loan move from Leeds.

Alan Julian could remain in goal as first-choice keeper Simon Royce is still suffering from the virus that ruled him out in midweek.

The Gills have no further injury worries and veteran midfielder Nicky Southall could feature on the bench despite being made available for a loan move earlier in the week.

Keane available

Keith Keane is back in contention for Luton but is likely to be named on the bench after their morale-boosting victory over Plymouth in midweek.

Although the defender is fit again following an ankle injury in pre-season, Michael Spillane is set to retain his place in defence.

The on-loan Norwich midfielder came in for Ian Roper for their midweek Carling Cup clash and put in a solid display at centre-half as the Hatters pulled off a shock win.

Luton are staring at a 30-point reduction in League Two and lost 3-1 at home to Port Vale last weekend.
