Two goals from on-loan striker Jabo Ibehre provided Stockport with a hard-earned 2-2 draw against high-flying Colchester.

MK Dons forward Ibehre brought County back from 2-0 down, with a brace of goals to dent Colchester's promotion hopes.

Colchester claimed a 10th-minute lead with a chaotic goal when County keeper Owain fon Williams let David Prutton's harmless-looking free-kick into the box slip through his grasp and the ball dropped into the net.

George Donnelly saw a shot hit the post for Stockport, but the visitors' lead was doubled when Anthony Wordsworth fired home an angled shot.

Fon Williams then produced a fine save to deny Kayode Odejayi, before Stockport got one back in the 23rd minute as Ibehre tapped home after Donnelly's initial shot had been saved by Ben Williams.

Ibehre pounced to score his second goal of the game from 15 yards with 13 minutes to go after latching onto a long ball forward from Paul Huntington.

After Ibehre's second goal there was a frantic finish, with Colchester substitute Ian Henderson going closest to a winner as his superbly-struck shot struck the crossbar.
