Montrose: Injury blow
Chesterfield will be without Lee Montrose, while Michael O'Connor is available for Lincoln.
On-loan midfielder Montrose is expected to miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury after falling awkwardly at Macclesfield on Saturday and has returned to Wigan for treatment.
"We are waiting for the results of the scan, and until he has had that then we have no idea how bad the damage is," said Spireites boss Lee Richardson.
"But the suspicion is that it is quite a serious injury and he will be out for the rest of the season and beyond.
"It is a blow for us because he kind of brought everything together in the way that we play, if you like. He is going to be a loss, but it gives someone else in the squad a chance to step up and show what they are made of."
Lloyd Kerry, who came on as a first-half substitute for Montrose at Macclesfield, Darren Currie and Peter Till come into the reckoning as possible replacements for the Wigan player.
The clash against Lincoln is Chesterfield's game in hand over their play-off rivals and victory would propel Richardson's side into a coveted top-seven spot for the first time this season.
Lincoln news
Lincoln boss Peter Jackson has been boosted by the news that O'Connor has extended his loan from Crewe in time for the trip to Chesterfield.
The midfielder will stay at the club until 13th April making him available for Tuesday's clash and the games against Luton and Bradford over the Easter weekend.
On-loan striker Anthony Elding will play his final game for Lincoln before returning to Crewe and will be unable to extend his spell at Sincil Bank, having already reached the maximum allowance of 93 days.
Paul Green is doubtful after picking up a knock to the hip in training on Friday while fellow defender Danny Hone (ankle) will continue his rehabilitation in the reserves when they travel to Shrewsbury.
Striker Lenell John-Lewis is still struggling with a hernia problem and will not feature for Jackson's men but could play a part in Wednesday's second-string clash.
