      Goalkeeper Jon Brain produced a brilliant display to deny Aldershot boss Kevin Dillon a win in his first game in charge as Macclesfield earned a goalless draw. Brain made a stunning save from Anthony Straker in the first half before somehow denying Kirk Hudson and Marvin Morgan after the break as Aldershot squandered a host of chances. Straker missed two chances for the hosts in quick succession, first shooting wide from a promising position and then drawing a smart save from Brain. Shots midfielder Hudson saw a close-range effort brilliantly saved by Brain and moments later striker Morgan had the goal at his mercy but fired wide. With 12 minutes left, tricky winger Hudson delivered the perfect cross for Morgan who saw his instinctive effort brilliantly saved again. There was more misery for Morgan shortly afterwards when he raced clear on goal and wastefully blazed over following Scott Donnelly's pass as Macclesfield held-on.
